^mingi^

mingi had to be dreaming, right?

there was no way that he just ditched his own welcome home party at the club and was now in an uber going home to sleep with his bestfriend.

he had to be dreaming.

"thank you." yunho said, snapping mingi from his thoughts.

"thanks." mingi muttered as they got out of the car.

they quietly walked up the stairs, mingi couldn't believe it. was this really going to happen?

everything was so sudden, mingi was so caught up in the moment so that when yunho asked mingi immediately nodded.

but now that he had the time to actually somewhat sober up and think about it, was this really the best move?

they hadn't talked in a whole year, so many things were left unsaid.

yunho unlocked the door and the two walked inside.

mingi slipped off his shoes and followed behind yunho, trying not to step on slightly deflated balloons.

they entered yunhos room and mingi looked around.

it was yunhos alright, but it was almost unrecognizable.

normally yunho wasn't a messy person, and when he was the mess wasn't too bad. it was just a few shirts scattered and an unmade bed. but that wasn't what worried mingi.

it was the piles of papers and coffee mugs and cans of energy drinks and gum wrappers lying around.

"sorry for the mess." yunho said, grabbing the few cans and the mugs.

"yunho-ah." mingi said.

"hmm?" yunho hummed.

mingi pressed his lips together and followed yunho to the kitchen.

"are you sure you want to do this? i think we should talk before... you know." mingi said.

"we can talk after. in the morning or something, unless you don't want to anymore." yunho reached up above the fridge and pulled down a bottle of whiskey.

mingi swallowed as he watched yunho pour a bit into two glasses with three cubes of ice in each glass.

yunho gave one glass to mingi, their hands brushing past each others.

"welcome home." yunho hummed, raising his glass.

mingi nodded, and they clinked them together.

heavy breathing echoed through the dark room, mingi laid on the bed as yunho pinned him and they kissed intensely.

yunhos tongue ran over mingis bottom lip, earning a shaky sigh from mingi.

mingis mind was running a thousand miles a minute and everything was so much.

he had longed to do something, really anything with yunho ever since he left but now that it was happening it felt wrong.

not in a morally way, but mingi felt like they should atleast talk about things.

with slightly trembly hands, he slowly pushed yunho away and sat up.

"yunho i really think we should talk first." mingi said.

"huh? i'm not dating anyone if that's what your concerned about." yunho said.

mingi shook his head, "let's just talk right now."

mingi didn't want to look up, he didn't want to see yunhos face because he was probably angry or something.

but to mingis surprise, yunho softly hummed.

"okay, sure."

mingi nodded, then yunho stood and grabbed a jacket and tossed it to mingi.

"come on." he said.

they ventured up four flights of steps, after the first two mingi got lazy so yunho carried him on his back.

"where are we?" mingi asked as yunho put him down.

"the rooftop." yunho hummed.

"why?" mingi frowned.

"mingi-ya, i know it's a lot to ask but trust me." yunho turned to face mingi.

"of course i trust you, yunho" mingis frown deepened, "why wouldn't i?"

yunho slightly laughed, "well after everything i just figured you wouldn't." he shrugged as they walked into a smaller closet like room with a ladder.

mingi slightly sighed as he looked at yunho. this was exactly why they needed to talk, yunho probably blamed himself for everything.

yunho climbed the latter and opened a hatch, then climbed out. "come on." he said from above.

mingi bit the inside of his cheek as he walked towards the ladder and began climbing it.

once he reached the top he walked over to where yunho was staring up at the sky. mingi followed his glance and slightly gasped.

the sky was so full of stars, it was the best view they'd get due to light pollution and it was nothing compared to the countryside but still, it was enough to silence mingi.

"we always talked on the roof of my house back then so i figured it'd be nostalgic." yunho hummed.

mingi nodded, he tore his eyes away and looked at yunho who still stared up.

his eyes were practically glowing, his skin was illuminated by the soft glow of the moon. yunho looked more alive than he had earlier.

mingi found himself blushing as he looked away.

"come on." yunho gently held mingis wrist and led him further away from the hatch after putting his shoe inside so it wouldn't fully close.

they found the spot where yunho kept a blanket and flashlight, and yunho laid the blanket out.

the two sat down and stared up at the sky.

mingi looked down at their knees that touched, then over at yunho.

"yunho-ah." mingi called.

"yeah?" yunho looked over at mingi.

mingi took a breath, "you know what happened back then wasn't all your fault."

yunho stared at him, and mingi stared back.

mingis heart cracked when he saw yunhos bottom lip slightly tremble. his eyes glossed and mingi pulled him close.

"im sorry mingi." yunho whispered.

"it's okay yunho, i forgave you a long time ago."
