~~~Gillian's pov~~~

I let out a sigh and grab my last bag.

I walk to the door and look back at my home for the past 5 years.

I shake my head.

My grandmother was wrong, the spell didn't work and now I have to hear it from her.

You're probably wondering what I'm talking about, well for all of my life my grandmother has been pushing it into my brain that I need to mate with an alpha so we can take over the pack.

My grandma is one of the few witches around that still practices black magic and she wants to make it become a thing again so she figured if I was a Luna of a pack I could help her with that, but it didn't work and now I have to leave the pack.

She's going to be so pissed.

She's been trying to gain power for her kind for years and now that I failed her she's definitely not going to be happy about that.

When I get to her cottage I don't even bother knocking on the door and walk right in, wanting to get the screaming match over with.

When I walk walk in I see her sitting at the kitchen table, looking through her spell book.

She looks up from the book. "I was wondering when you were going to visit, so how'd it go?" She asked.

I nervously swallow. "I'm not his mate."

She furrows her eyebrow. "What? How can that be if I made that spell?" She asked.

"He found his real mate."

She scoffs. "So I can create a spell and you can trick him then make him get you pregnant and we're in" She smirked.

Whoa that's a little too far.

I'm upset that Alanna is his actual mate, but I won't make him get me pregnant, that's a little too far even for me.

"Yeah I'm not going to do that."

"Why not? This is what we've been waiting for" She said.

"Yes, but what if I don't actually want to have a baby yet, or I don't know, it's wrong to make him get me pregnant?"

She scowls at me. "You inconsiderate little brat. After everything I've done for you think is how you repay me? You know what? go. I'll do everything myself and I'll succeed because you didn't help me out, you only slowed me down " She said making my stomach clench from the anger she's showing.

After we left my parents we headed home to Axel's house.

When we pull into the driveway I see Axel's parents car and Gwen's car.

We head inside and when get to our floor we see Axel's parents and Gwen talking in the living room.

"There's the happy couple" Claire announced.

They stand up and we exchange hugs, then I sit next to Axel on the couch, facing his parents and Gwen.

"So we've been deciding, even before you found out that you're mates, that we're moving out of the house" Claire said.

"We're not kicking you out mom" Axel said.

She shakes her head. "I know that honey, but you'll need space of your own and we're not moving far. We're moving right next door to Gwen's house" She said.

"Just think now we'll have the house to ourselves."

He squeezes my hand. "I like the way you think babygirl" He said.
