Dorne.

Astoria smiles softly as she watches her daughter play with her wooden horse. The Queen of Dorne reaches out and she brushes her daughter's cheek.

Amora looks up at her mother, her hands dropping the small toy. "Mama." Amora asks

Astoria hums, lowering himself to her side. "Yes, my love?" Astoria asks

"When are Jaehaerys and Jaehaera coming back?" She asks

Astoria smiles, though her heart tightened. "I don't know, my love. They have to be with their father for a while. But I promise you will get to see them again." Astoria states as she combs her fingers through her daughter's dark locks. Amora sighs deeply.

....

Screams echoed King Landing as all castle servants were imprisoned. The news of the prince's death quickly spread throughout the walls as the King and Queen mourned their child's loss. Aegon more loudly than Helaena.

....

Aemond stood in Aenys old chambers, which he made his own. The prince stood at the entrance, noticing a few things amiss. Slowly he approached his desk where many of his coins were missing, clearly, someone had stolen from his room. But that wasn't the only thing he noted.

Slowly he approached an open passage, one he knew Aenys had frequented in their youth. The same passage he had to sneak out of in order to not be caught when he and Aenys spent the night together. All those memories were gone. Washed away by blood. Blood of his nephew.

This was all his fault. Aemond realized that he had caused all of this. His hunger for revenge only caused in turn for Rhaenrya to seek her own. He started all this.

....

Dorne.

"What." Astoria demands sharply, quickly approaching her husband as he stands before her, having just told her news of the prince's death. Astoria grasps the fabric of Aenys Kefta, her eyes filling with tears as they meet Aenys.

"You are lying." Astoria breathes, tears slipping down her cheeks. Aenys own eyes shine. He may not have been close to Helaena, not since their youth. But he mourned the loss all the same. Aenys shakes his head. "I wish I was. The boy was killed in his sleep. A small mercy perhaps, but Helaena, did not have that mercy, having to witness it all herself...I am so sorry." Aenys whispers, his hands coming up to cradle his wife's arms.

"you are lying."

Astoria breaks down in her husband's arms, her legs growing weak, unable to hold herself. Aenys gently guides them both to the ground, holding Astoria close as she cries, mourning for the woman she loves.

....

Kingslanding.

Helaena stared out with sorrowful eyes, her son's blanket close to her lips. She attempted to listen to the soft noises of the birds just outside the chamber, but the whispers of her maids overpowered it, muttering to themself as they cleaned the mess that was her children's room.

Alicent enters the chamber, her eyes drawn to her daughter. She notes the bloody clothes she still wore, her eyes turning mournful.

With a deep breath, Alicent speaks. "There's to be a funeral for Jaehaerys." Alicent says

....

Dorne.

Aenys stared at the dagger he had made for Aemond all those moons ago. The same dagger he had rejected when he was first presented with it. He intended to offer it to him again when he had arrived in Dorne. But it became useless and meaningless when Aemond killed his brother.

Aenys fists clenched around the handle, pain filling his chest.

"How can you still love him? After all that he has done to us, to Lucerys." Astoria sneers from where she stands near the windows.

Aenys looks up and he looks towards his wife. "The love I have for him is not easily dispelled....despite how much I wish for it." Aenys says

Astoria whirls around, approaching with swift steps. The Queen grabbed the handles of her husband's seat, glaring down at him. "You must forget them. His actions led to this...he killed that poor boy, and he destroyed my love, unintentionally or not. This was his doing." Astoria says

Aenys closes his eyes, nodding. "As you wish." He whispers

"Husband....it is not my wish to deprive you of love and happiness, but you must open your eyes. You lost your ward, the closest thing to a son. Aemond commanded it, not Alicent or Otto. That bastard did it all on his own...he's....." Astoria breathes, staring at her husband's face, imploring him.

Aenys opens his eyes, peering up at his wife. "I know what he is." Aenys whispers

"And yet, you still love him." Astoria whispers, pulling away from her husband. Astoria scoffs to herself, running her fingers through her hair. "Return to Kingslanding, you are needed there." Astoria says

The Queen slowly approached the window, her fingers dragging along the stone edge. Aenys stood. "And what of my duties here, to Amora?" Aenys asks

Astoria tilts her head in his direction. "My brother will stay, he will serve as my hand and as Amora's protector. Until this war has ended, I don't want you here." Astoria says
