Pivot: A Damon Restart Story

Chp 13

Damon kept feeling like he was forgetting something, but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't remember. He was in the sitting room with a drink in his hand, going through everything he had experienced in the previous timeline. And it hit him, "Sybill...The Armory." He sets his drink down and goes to look for Bonnie and Stefan. He tells them about the Armory and Sybill. Knowing things are calm at the moment, there's time to plan accordingly.

So, instead of rushing back into action and possibly getting mind controlled, Damon waits. He waits until he can approach Freya and Davina with the matter. The two witches being as powerful as they are, and female will have a better chance at helping him deal with the issues. Plus, Kol will want to go through the Armory. It would not surprise Damon if any of the artifacts are a result of Kol's past.

Stefan and Bonnie reassure Damon they will help when it is time to deal with everything as they have been. Damon feels a little better, like he can breathe. He has his brother, his girlfriend, and his best friend is alive and will be joining them soon. Speaking of Enzo, the former Augustine vampire has learned Lucien Castle is on the move again and has decided to follow him. When Enzo realized Lucien was returning to the states, he informed Damon and headed for New Orleans with the updates.

Kol was excited to get all his toys back, and possibly some others later on. He and Davina went and spoke with Father Kieran and retrieved all of cursed objects the human faction should not have had and placed them in Kol's hidden vault. When he learned about the Armory, Kol wanted to rush off, but his wife talked him out of it for now. She wanted Freya and Vincent to accompany them. But Vincent is not friends with the family or even Davina...yet.

Which will have to be rectified soon if the Hollow is to be dealt with. Davina and Kol figured they could go almost the same route. Split the Hollow's spirit into quarters and place it in four of the oldest vampires; Aya, Aurora, Lucien, and Tristan. Then stake them, tada, Hollow gone. Davina called Sage and asked her and Finn to retrieve Inadu's bones to destroy her physical form and then destroy her totem.

A lot has happened since they all moved to New Orleans. Damon and Bonnie are closer than ever. Stefan and Caroline are going strong and planning a June wedding. Surprisingly, Enzo and Elijah have been getting to know each other after Enzo was introduced once he reached NOLA. The real kicker that not everyone saw coming was Klaus and Hayley.

Klaus had helped Hayley find out what happened to her biological family. She was able to meet Eve, her aunt that never triggered her curse. Eve had the rest of the information Hayley was looking for, and Hayley was devastated to learn her family was murdered. She grew angry about the betrothal to the grandson of the man who murdered her parents and eldest siblings.

Klaus was enraged as well but did not lash out. No, he came up with a plan to keep the scruffy lad away from Hayley. Klaus smirked, "Little Wolf, you and I should wed." Hayley looked at him as if he was crazy for a moment, only to realize he was serious. "You want to marry me?" Hayley was skeptical. "I do. I have come to realize I do not see any other woman in my future, and I would like us to be official," Klaus was nervous. He was not good at expressing his emotions.

Of course, Hayley could tell Klaus what he was trying to say. The two of them had been dating for a while, she had learned his tells and read him like a book. "Then we should get married," Hayley agreed. After sharing the news of their engagement, Davina let them know about the Unification Ceremony. She told them what happened last time, and Klaus sent an informant to his biological father's pack so they could be there for the ceremony.

The North East Atlantic Pack's current alpha, Cary, agreed to be there with several members of the pack. Not all of them wanted to participate in the ceremony even after learning of the benefits they would gain. So, Cary and several wolves made their way to New Orleans. Which made Marcel and his vampires very nervous. Especially since Davina broke the curse on the wolves in the Bayou.

Amongst those wolves was a jealous and crazed Alpha Jackson Kenner. He wanted Hayley for himself. She was supposed to marry him. They have been betrothed since birth; it is his birthright to marry the Labonair Queen. His grandmother, Mary, was just as crazed. She wanted to keep control of the Crescent Pack. If Hayley married Jackson, Mary would have that control. When they learned Hayley was marrying the Original Hybrid they lashed out and vanished further into the Bayou. Not knowing they were devising a plan to kidnap Hayley and force her to marry Jackson.

Marcel and his vampires were outmanned. Marcel should have known he would lose if he went against Klaus and the Original family. It wasn't even a fair fight. Marcel had instigated his sire into coming to the Abattoir and attacked the Original Hybrid. Which was stupid. Klaus had killed the majority of Marcel's vampires on his own, with Elijah and Kol joining the fight. Marcel and Klaus went toe-to-toe, the younger vamp thinking Klaus had exhausted himself, but he was wrong.

Klaus had beat Marcel so badly, the younger vampire couldn't stand. He was also suffering from a bite Klaus had given him. Klaus stood over his son, "Do you yield, or should I let the venom run its course? I'm getting married in a week's time and I do not need to be dealing with outside matters until after my honeymoon."

Marcel lays at Klaus' feet, his injuries slowly healing except the missing chunk from his shoulder where Klaus bit him. Klaus gave him a bloodied smile, "Time's running out, Marcellus." Looking around the courtyard of the Abattoir, Marcel could see only a few vampires left including Theirry and Diego luckily. "Fine, you win," Marcel sucked in his pride and the blood offered to heal the bite and left the Abattoir with his men. He didn't even bother to ask about Rebekah, figuring she was daggered again.

Caroline had worked with Davina and Freya to organize the Unification Ceremony and reception at the Abattoir. This was after Elijah had it thoroughly cleaned from Marcel's parties and riff-raff. Stefan stood by his fiancée as she put together the venue and couldn't help but daydream about their day. Damon and Bonnie got a good laugh from Stefan's dreamy expression. Especially Damon since he remembers the first time Stefan and Caroline got married. This time though there would be no Hell Fire.

The Unification ceremony was beautiful and went off without any complications or interruptions. Cary and the wolves from Klaus' pack expressed their gratitude towards the Hybrid before heading back to the Bayou. Klaus and Hayley then left for their honeymoon in Australia for the next two months. Neither had been so they were in no rush to come home.

While they were gone, Davina and Freya worked on the Hollow. Freya had been with her family since she was retrieved from Dowager Fauline cottage a few weeks ago. She had warned them all about Dahlia, but it seems the warning was not needed. Freya was in tears when she was unlinked from her cruel aunt and linked to her brother, Finn. And the weapon was already crafted, they just needed to find Dahlia's resting place.

Damon and Bonnie were out on a date when they were interrupted by Aurora, "Such a cute couple." The older vampire had been spying on them all and knew these two could lead her to her true love, Niklaus. When Damon told Aurora Klaus was married, she waved it off as a momentary lapse in judgment. Both Damon and Bonnie thought this woman was crazy. They didn't waste any time and got away from the crazy bitch.

Aurora followed them to the Abattoir where she was trapped by Elijah and Freya. "One down, three to go. Soon the Hollow will be gone," Freya says as Elijah drags Aurora down to the dungeon. Tristan wasn't too far behind and then was joined by Aya. Lucien was another matter; he will not be caught so easily. But he was caught...eventually.

One of the reasons Klaus and Hayley's honeymoon was so long was so the Mikaelson family witches could deal with the Hollow. It also gave the newlyweds time away from the drama. Another reason their honeymoon was so long was because Klaus wanted to be sure Hayley was pregnant before they went home. He knew it was risky because of the witches but with his mother gone, they should not be a problem.

AN: This story will have one or two more chapters. I'm trying to wrap it up quickly, concentrating on the big bads. Greta, Sybill, Cade, and another wedding is next.
