hi everyone I would just like you guys to know that for some reason my TikTok account was removed?? which means it is likely I won't be posting on that platform for a long time.

I could make a new one, but I'm afraid that will take a lot of time, so I think I'll just stick to posting on Wattpad and not the little sneak peaks on TikTok, so I just thought I'd give you all a heads up.

thank you all, and enjoy!

The limo hummed softly beneath me as I glanced at my phone for what felt like the hundredth time. Five minutes late.

I took a deep breath, trying to steady my racing heart. I could feel my hands trembling slightly, so I clasped them together tightly in my lap. The city lights blurred past the windows, creating a dazzling, surreal landscape that only heightened my nervousness.

I leaned forward, peering through the tinted glass at the passing streets. I could see people walking, laughing, and enjoying their evening, completely unaware of the turmoil inside me.

My dress rustled softly as I shifted in my seat, the silky fabric a reminder of how much effort Azalea had put into my appearance tonight, the dress complementing my eyes and highlighting my figure in all the right ways. But now, sitting here, I couldn't help but second-guess every decision.

What if he thought I was standing him up? What if he was already there, checking his watch and feeling annoyed? I reached for my phone again, my fingers hovering over the screen. Should I cancel? Apologize for being late? But what if that made it worse, drawing attention to my tardiness?

Against my better judgement, my fingers fumble as I dial Azaleas number, and once she picks up I do not hold back, and despite using a very coloured vocabulary, she only laughs at my insults and realises the true reason behind why I had called.

"Nervous, huh?" She chuckles as I breathe in a deep breath, "And don't say you aren't because why else would you call when you have been in that limo for less than five minutes? Other than to cuss me out, that is."

I release a shaky breath as I start to spiral. "To be totally honest with you, Lea, I'm freaking out. Badly. I'm already five minutes late! What if he thinks I'm standing him up? What if he leaves?"

"Calm down, calm down," Her voice was soothing, like a balm on my frayed nerves. "You're just a few minutes late. He's not going to leave. Trust me, he'll understand that sometimes things happen."

I looked out the window, swallowing down the lump in my throat. "But what if he doesn't? What if he thinks I didn't care enough to be on time? I'm going to be real with you right now, I've never been on a date before and I'm on the brink of ripping my hair out of my scalp."

"Listen," Azalea said says, "You look amazing, right?"

I glanced down at my dress, the deep red fabric shimmering under the limo's interior lights. "Yeah, I guess."

"Correction, you do. Trust me, if I was Adonis and I saw you walking in wearing that dress, I'd be on my hands and knees kissing your shoes," I laugh as she reassured me, "You've got this, okay? Just take a deep breath. If he's the kind of guy worth your time, and he is, he'll understand."

I tried to follow her advice, inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly. "Okay, okay. You're right. I just... I want everything to be perfect."

"It will be," she said confidently. "And if it's not, it's just a date. Not the end of the world. Besides, you've got charm and wit on your side. He won't even remember you were late once he starts talking to you, and if he does something, he'll have to answer to me."
