Cedric and Krystal had officially become a couple, and there wasn't a person at Hogwarts that didn't know about them, including Cho Chang.

Krystal knew dating him was a bad move, and She knew She would have to somehow right things into their proper order eventually, but she just couldn't deny her very real feelings for Cedric.

October finally came and November would arrive soon, the student body had seemed to forget about the upcoming tournament but Krystal excitedly waited every night at dinner.

This morning however everything on her mind was put on the back burner as she got an owl over breakfast.

"I got an owl." Krystal exclaimed happily.

"Yeah, so did I." Angelina teased.

"Yeah but I NEVER get mail." Krystal said as she opened the scroll.

It was a few pieces of parchment and each one had drawings of beautiful dress concepts.

Krystal looked them over quickly before she rolled the parchment pages back up and tucked them into her books. She offered the owl some of her water and a few pieces of her toast before it flew off.

Classes went by as usual and all Krystal could think about were her and Cedric, and come Christmas time, the actual Yule Ball.

She thought of how handsome Cedric would look in his formal dress robes and she imagined the two of them dancing the night away. Then she shook the thought from her head sadly.

She couldn't go to the Yule ball with Cedric, she would have to go with someone who isn't mentioned in the book.

But more importantly, how would that even happen if Cedric and her were still dating?

Krystal let out a deep sigh and walked to the library, she found Harry and the gang all in there, she assumed it had something to do with Hermione's S.P.E.W organization.

She found an empty table and set out to get some of her assignments done, then Cedric entered the library.

She slinked into the chair, almost trying to hide from him.

But of course he spotted her, "hey." He sounded with his amazing smile on full display, he kissed her cheek then took a seat next to her.

He talked about classes, Hufflepuff drama, prefect duties, and all sorts of other random things when Krystal slammed my book shut.

He went silent and looked at her (as did a few onlookers), it was now or never, she hoped he wouldn't hate her.

"I'm sorry Cedric but I just can't do this anymore."

He looked stunned and stumble over his words for an explanation.

Krystal sat up straight and took his hands into hers. "I like you, more than I should to be honest. But right now I really really need to focus on school." She said using the first thing that came to mind.

He didn't know what to say now.

"School's tough as it is, then add in the fact that I'm hundreds of miles away from my family, plus I don't just have regular classes but I also have a ton of catch-up classes to take as well. I'm totally swamped with work, and I am stretching myself thin between my friends and you."

He looked her dead in my eye, he looked crushed.

"So it's over?" He asked confused over his girlfriend's sudden outburst.

Krystal nodded.

"Just like that?" He questioned.

She nodded once more.
