Krystal's tears streamed out faster than before.
"My Darling please stop crying." Cedric pleaded softly.
Krystal couldn't even look at him without remembering the end of the Goblet of Fire, she realize now that she may never change the timeline of the book.
'No matter what I do I can't save him.'
"I'll be fine, i'll be careful." He rambled.
The little table clock dinged indicating the time.
"We should probably get back to bed." She said as she wiped her face once more.
He nodded. "Yeah, tomorrow's the big reveal."
Krystal stood up and he followed suit, "who knows," he said as they reached the door to go their separate ways.
"The Goblet may not even choose me." He finished. "Goodnight Darling." He kissed her forehead and then Dobby appeared.
"Take the beautiful Krystal back to her chambers." He instructed.
Dobby bowed to him and then took her hand.
...
"Hey word around the castle is you're sleeping with the enemy again." George said as they walked into Charms class together.
"What are you talking about?" Krystal asked with a laugh
"You, Cedric, together again." Fred stated suggestively as he wiggled his eyebrows up and down.
"Oh, well yes we got back together, but no one is sleeping together nerds." She admitted.
George and Fred leaned in close "then why did we see the two of you together last night near a certain room of requirements." Fred asked.
Krystal scoffed.
"Hey, the map don't lie little troublemaker." George put in.
"And neither do I, I was asking him not to enter his name into the goblet." Krystal admitted.
They looked at me then nodded, "yeah, alright we believe ya, and you should know we already saw him put his name in." George said.
"I know, he told me last night." She said sadly.
Classes went on as usual, the only difference was that some of the classes were now shared with Durmstrang and Beauxbatons students.
"But I heard their curriculum is a lot different than ours?" Angelina wondered as some of the boys of Durmstrang walked into the Charms class.
One of them walked past them and she quieted down.
"I'm sure they learn the same things as us when it comes to the standards." Lee Jordan offered.
"Alright class." Professor Flitwick spoke. "If you have an empty seat next to you please raise your hands."
Krystal raised her hand since the seat to her right was empty.
"Gentleman, please choose a seat and share a book with the person who's hand is raised." He instructed.
After a couple of minutes the guys had all found seats and Krystal was a little glad that none of them chose to sit next to her.
It's not that Krystal has anything against them, it's just hard to share a book with another person.
Professor Flitwick lifted his wand and was just about to begin speak about todays subject when the class door opened.
A storm of whispers broke out as the intimidating Viktor Krum walked in and handed the Professor a note.
He read it over "ah, yes." He said then looked up. "Are there any open seats left?" He asked once more.
Krystal dreaded that she had to raise my hand. She had seen the way Cedric looked at him the very first evening of their arrival, this wasn't going to be good.
She sighed and let her hand lift into the air, she also looked around and say hers was the only hands raised this time around.
"Oh Miss Montgomory." Professor Flitwick said delighted. He walked Viktor over "you two will have to partner up and share a book."
The two both nodded silently and then he sat down.
Once Professor Flitwick began his lesson Krystal opened her book and pushed it inbetween the both of them so they could both read off of it, but she was a little more preoccupied by the gossipy whispers surrounding them. Krystal just knew they were either talking about Cedric and her, or Krum and her.
"Hello" Viktor Krum said.
She looked at him like he was off his rocker "uh, hi."
"I'm sure you know who I am but please allow me to properly introduce myself." He said.
'Arrogant much?'
"I am Viktor Krum."
"Nice to meet you Viktor Krum." Krystal said politely, then she decided she would throw him a curve ball. "My name is Krystal Mongomery and I'm sorry to say that no, in fact I do NOT know who you are." She lied and then looked down at the book and began taking notes along with what the Professor wrote on the board.
"I am Viktor Krum." He repeated matter of factly.
Krystal wanted to laugh, apparently Viktor wasn't use to people not knowing him and his celebrity status.
"I believe we've established that." She teased, "if you don't mind I would like to turn the page now." Krystal said motioning to his resting hand on the book.
He lifted his hand and stared at her as if trying to understand her.
"You are not from here." He stated.
"No, I'm from North America." She admitted.
"Then you don't know Quidditch, this is why you do not know me." He figured.
"Oh I know Quidditch very well, in fact my boyfriend is the captain for his house's team." She confessed then decided to add in "do you play?"
He looked at Krystal, trying to see if she was joking with him or not, once he decided that Krystal was truly a girl who legitimately did not know who he is, he let his big ego deflate.
"Yes, I play from time to time, I used to love it when I was younger but now the fun seems to have gone away from it." He confided.
Now Krystal felt bad for teasing him, it must be hard being the youngest professional Quidditch player. To have something you love turn into a burdensome job. He's only a kid for gosh sakes, and fame was thrust into his lap.
"You shouldn't have to do something that doesn't make you happy." She said guiltily.
He gave her a slight smile, "you are the first person to have ever suggested such a thing."
Krystal shrugged her shoulders, "guess I'm just weird like that."
"Your different for sure, but definitely not weird Krystal Montgomery."
