Because of the tournament the Hogwarts Houses didn't have to sit at their designated House tables, nor did they have to wear their usual school robes, except for classes...and everyone was so wrapped up in this tournament that during lunch and passing periods you could see kids begging Krum for his autograph, how annoying.
Even more annoying, the same was being asked of Cedric, only...most of his fans are girls.
Class resumed and everyone was talking about how much press this was getting.
And along with the press came the Potter haters.
Draco began handing out the infamous buttons Krystal had read all about.
Flashing red letters read 'Support CEDRIC DIGGORY-The Real Hogwarts Champion!'
But with a press of the button the color changed to a vibrant green and the words were quickly replaced with melting 'POTTER STINKS.'
"Please don't wear one." Krystal asked of Cedric, it wasn't Harry's fault that he was in this tournament. "I mean isn't it enough the poor kid isn't as advanced in magic as the rest of the champions."
Cedric kissed her hair and laced their fingers together, "of course not darling."
During Charms a girl in Ravenclaw came into the class to collect Krum, per request of Bagman.
"I'm sorry to have to leave you without a partner." Krum apologized under his breath.
"Oh please, it's hardly an issue. If you need to catch up I'm usually in the library the last thirty minutes before lunch ends." Krystal offered.
On the way to the next class word was that the champions were having their pictures taken for the Daily Prophet as well as performing the weighing of wands.
The rest of Krystal's classes passed quickly and Krystal was happy to see Cedric just after Potions.
"Yeah, that Rita Skeeter is quite a character." He said a few students looked at him in passing, they were almost awestruck...then again, Cedric did have that effect on people.
"Careful what you say around her." Krystal cautioned. "She's been known twist people's words and to spread horrible lies."
He nodded his head in agreement. "To be honest," he offered, "even though she interview all of us she seemed the most interested in Harry...even asked me questions about him."
Krystal knew he was right. "Like what?"
"Well, she wanted to know if he and I we friends, what kind of student he is, if he gets into trouble a lot, or if he's more of a loner."
And what did you say?" Krystal asked worried.
He shrugged, "I just told her That Potter and I are friendly but as he's a little younger than myself and in Gryffindor we hardly have time to hangout except on the quidditch field where he's a great seeker and from what I can ell he has a good relationship with the professors here as well as the kids in his year."
Krystal smiled and kissed her boyfriends cheek, "You are so perfect."
He smiled and kissed her lips, "Glad you think so."
If there was one thing Krystal COULD change, it would be getting rid of Rita Skeeter before she ruined anyone's good name like Hermione or Hagrid.
Two weeks passed and Ms Rita Skeeter's "Four Champion introduction piece" was published and everyone then saw that it was really a horribly cloaked story of the Life of Harry Potter.
It became the latest gossip.
It was time to get rid of Ms Skeeter, and lucky for Krystal the first task in the Tri Wizarding Tournament was scheduled for this Tuesday. Meaning Rita Skeeter could be found in Hogsmead, where she was forbidden to interview any students without the consent of the ministry or Dumbledore and today was also the trip into Hogsmead.
