As the end of the ball came to a close Krystal was all danced out.
Cedric was chivalrously walking her to the Gryffindor common room when they came across Harry.
"Hey Harry, have a good night?" Krystal asked politely.
"It was alright I suppose." He sounded unsure.
"How are you doing with your egg?" Cedric asked slyly.
"Eh, I guess I could be trying to Figure it out more." He admitted.
"Why don't you think about it over a bath." Cedric cryptically suggested. "I find that I can get most of my thinking done in the prefect bathroom.."
Harry gave him a questioning look and began to walk away.
"Oh and Harry," Cedric added, "take the egg with you."
Krystal smiled at Harry and winked, hopefully he would get the hint.
The next week everyone was still raving about the ball.
As Krystal walked into the great hall for breakfast she passed Harry. "Have a good bath lately?" She asked low enough for only him to hear.
"Yes," he said with a smile. "Very productive. Please thank Cedric for me." He replied.
She took a seat with her own group of friends.
"So are you and Cedric officially back together?" Angelina asked.
"Yes." Krystal said happily.
"I will never understand why you two break up so much only to get back together in the end." Katie put in.
"It really is dizzying." Alicia added.
Krystal rolled her eyes, "and what about you Miss Johnson, are you and Fred an item now?" She asked with a smirk.
Angelina now wore a huge smile. "I don't know, all I do know is that when we're together, just him and I, he's different."
The rest of them looked at each other for answers.
"I mean he's nice and sweet, and his whole attention is on me instead of goofing off or pulling pranks."
"Sounds serious." Katie said.
They all nodded their heads in agreement.
"I would definitely sit down and talk with him about it." Krystal offered.
"On another note," Alicia sounded. "I personally can't wait to see what the next task is gonna be."
The girls spoke of various scenarios some included taking a hair off of a unicorns tail, or capturing a centaurs Bow and arrows. But Krystal silently began to worry, she knew what the second task would be, what worried her was that instead of Cho Chang it would be her going into the black lake.
Two months passed and February made its appearance.
On Valentine's Day the great hall had little cupids flying around shooting arrows that would vanish before hitting you.
Cedric had come to the Gryffindor table to have a seat with Krystal.
"May I please see your necklace?" He asked with a smile.
Krystal couldn't help but smile back at him but wondered after his reasoning as she clasped the chain from around her neck. He gently tapped the stone heart and the top of it opened.
She stared wide eyed as he then put his wand to his temple, his eyes shut as he concentrated, a thin wisp of silver was extracted. He guided the translucent silver string to the heart then tapped it once more.
Once it closed he place the chain back around her neck clasping it with ease.
"My favorite memories." He said as an explanation.
"You gave me a pensive for Christmas?" She asked as she remembered the basin with carvings and the cloudy grey liquid.
He chuckled, "I'm sorry I assumed you would have known what it was."
Krystal smiled a warm smile at him, such a thoughtful gift.
"I want you to wait until I tell you to look at them though, okay?" He asked as he pointed to her necklace, she happily agreed.
