Peter gripped his head as he stepped away from the skull and one phrase continued to repeat in his head 'Fear The Old Blood.' Peter groaned until he noticed a lantern in front of him as he went and ignited it.
"May as well return to the dream" Peter muttered as he knelt down, closed his eyes, and felt his body return to Hunter's Dream.
Peter opened his eyes and found himself back at the Hunter's Dream. But he didn't see Gehrman or the Doll around. Peter looked around and saw the Doll kneeling at a gravestone in the graveyard next to the workshop. Peter walked to the Doll, and Peter heard what sounded like humming from the Doll.
"Doll?" Peter asked.
The Doll gasped and turned to Peter.
"Oh, Peter... your back," The Doll said, standing up facing the Hunter, "Did you find the Grand Cathedral?"
"I did... and I think the Vicar turned into a Cleric Beast," Peter said, scratching his head, "... Guess that's another dead end... Where's Gehrman?"
"Oh. He is resting, I assume night has fallen onto Yharnam hasn't it?" The Doll asked.
"Yeah... it has," Peter said and went to sit down on the small stone wall outside the workshop, "I don't what to do now. Gehrman said that the Vicar could help me out, but all I got was a priest who turned into a giant monster... I... I don't know what to do"
"Well... I may have one idea" The Doll offered,
Peter turned to the Doll.
"I have seen many Hunters come and go, and one of them mentioned a road called Hemwick Channel Lane, and a strange building, out there too, and when they were there they found a Runesmith," The Doll said,
"A Runesmith?" Peter asked as he thought of Doctor Strange, and the Scarlet Witch "I've... only heard of that from some magic friends of mine"
"Runes here are a bit different. There are two types of them, those used by the Tarnished, and the ones that Hunters use" The Doll explained, "In the case of the Hunters, we call them Carryl Runes, Hunters inscribe them into their flesh and can strengthen their bodies against the Beasts, see in the dark, find more items, or stuff like that"
"That could be useful... where can I find the Runesmith?" Peter asked.
"I am... not sure if she is even still alive, but if you go back to the Grand Cathedral and go right you'll be on the road leading to Hemwick Channel Lane, head down the road and there will be a big building at the end of it" The Doll instructed Peter, "But... a warning, some Hunters have mentioned that Witches live over there"
"Witches?" Peter asked and scoffed, "I've dealt with witches back in my home dimension, these ones should be easy to deal with"
The Doll frowned at Peter.
"Don't underestimate anything here Peter" The Doll warned, "You've died a couple of times already, so you need to be careful"
Peter stopped and realized that in a sense the Doll was right. He has died a couple of times now, to the Scourge Beast in Iosefka's Clinic, the Cleric Beast, and Father Gascoigne, and he nearly died to the Blood Starved Beast, he was lucky enough to defeat Vicar Amelia.
