oneshot synopsis: while on a mission to find a missing kid in the woods, zane and lloyd find themselves trapped in the biggest snowstorm of the year.

   Zane and Lloyd hiked through the dense forest in silence. A missing kid had run off from his village and into this forest, which is why the Ninja were called. Zane glanced up at the sky, his sensors detecting a hint of darker clouds gathering on the horizon.
The two exchanged a brief glance.
"Looks like we're in for a bit of rain," Lloyd remarked, his green eyes darting towards the ominous clouds.
   "Or worse. Snow would make it more difficult to find the missing child. We should find shelter soon," Zane suggested, his tone firm but not alarmed. "We don't want to be caught in a storm in this unfamiliar terrain."

   "We can't stop now," Lloyd replied firmly. "We need to find the kid before the storm hits. Every minute counts."
The Ice Ninja looked at his friend with a hint of annoyance. "I understand your concern, but we must consider our own safety as well. If we're caught in a storm, it will slow us down and put us at greater risk."

   "I know," Lloyd sighed. "But I can't help but think about that little kid out there all alone."
Zane placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "We'll find them, but we need to be smart about it. We should look for shelter nearby, so we're not completely exposed when the storm hits. That way, we can continue searching for the child when the weather calms down."
  After more minutes of walking, Zane led them to a small natural cave nestled between two towering trees. The entrance was barely visible, concealed by a curtain of overgrown moss.
"There," Zane pointed. "This should provide us with adequate cover from the approaching snowstorm."
    The pair quickly scurried inside, barely escaping the cold wind and the first few snowflakes that had begun to fall. The cave wasn't big, but it was deep enough to offer them some cover from the elements outside.
As the snowstorm intensified outside, the howling wind and lashing snow created a wall of white beyond the cave's entrance.

    Zane found a spot on the rocky floor and settled down.
"I'll rest for a bit," he stated, his eyes dimming slightly. "You should stay awake and keep watch, just in case."
Lloyd nodded. He took a seat near the cave's entrance, his eyes glued on the swirling snowstorm outside.
  The Green Ninja found himself alone with his thoughts. The constant howling of the wind and the snowstorm outside echoed through the cave. Just as he was beginning to feel a bit unnerved by the situation, he suddenly heard a faint scream coming from outside.
His heart skipped a beat, and he immediately sat up straight.
