After the intense gaming session, Chenle's stomach growled, breaking the comfortable silence that had settled between them. He looked at Jisung with a sheepish grin. ❝Are you hungry? We could make something to eat.❞

Jisung nodded, a playful smile on his face. ❝I could eat. What do you have in mind?❞

Chenle hopped off the couch and headed towards the kitchen, Jisung following close behind. ❝I was thinking of making some instant ramen. It's quick and easy.❞

Jisung raised an eyebrow, a mischievous glint in his eyes. ❝Instant ramen? Nah, let me cook something for us instead.❞

Chenle paused, a packet of ramen in his hand. ❝You sure? I don't want to trouble you.❞

Jisung gently took the ramen packet from him and set it back on the shelf. ❝It's no trouble at all. Besides, I enjoy cooking.❞

Chenle watched as Jisung moved confidently around the kitchen, opening the fridge and pulling out ingredients. He pulled out vegetables, eggs, and some leftover rice, placing them on the counter with a determined look. As Jisung began prepping the ingredients, Chenle took a seat at the counter, resting his chin in his hands and watching him work.

Jisung moved with ease and grace, chopping vegetables with precision and cracking eggs into a bowl. Chenle couldn't help but admire him, taking in the way his fingers moved deftly and the concentration on his face. His heart fluttered as he thought about how effortlessly Jisung fit into his space.

Unbeknownst to him, Chenle's thoughts slipped out of his mouth. ❝You look really pretty... and so boyfriend material.❞

Jisung's hands paused mid-chop, and he turned to Chenle with a teasing smirk. ❝What was that, Chenle?❞

Chenle's eyes widened in horror as he realized he'd said it out loud. His face turned bright red, and he tried to backtrack. ❝I-I didn't mean-❞

Jisung chuckled, turning back to his cooking with a satisfied grin. ❝I can be your boyfriend if you want.❞

Chenle's blush deepened, and he quickly looked away, pretending to focus on something else. ❝Just focus on cooking, Jisung.❞

Jisung cooed at the sight, enjoying how flustered Chenle had become. ❝Aw, you're so cute when you're embarrassed.❞

Chenle muttered something under his breath, but the corners of his mouth betrayed him by curling into a small smile. He watched Jisung finish cooking, his earlier embarrassment slowly melting away. The aroma of the food filled the kitchen, making Chenle's stomach rumble again.

Finally, Jisung placed two bowls of fried rice on the counter. He had made it look so easy, and the dish smelled incredible. ❝Here you go, chef's special fried rice,❞ he announced proudly.

Chenle eagerly took a bite, his eyes lighting up as he tasted the food. ❝Jisung, this is delicious!

Jisung grinned, pleased with Chenle's reaction. ❝Glad you like it. See, I told you I could cook.❞

Chenle nodded enthusiastically, taking another bite. ❝You were right. This is way better than instant ramen.❞

Jisung leaned on the counter, a playful glint in his eye. ❝You should make me your permanent boyfriend if you want more delicious food like that.❞

Chenle almost choked on his rice, his face heating up again. ❝Jisung!

Jisung laughed, reaching over to gently pat Chenle's back. ❝Just saying. It's a pretty good deal.❞

Chenle rolled his eyes, though a small smile tugged at his lips. ❝You're impossible.❞

Jisung's eyes sparkled with amusement. ❝And you're adorable. It's a good match.❞

They continued eating, the playful banter flowing easily between them. Chenle couldn't deny the warmth he felt from Jisung's teasing words. It was all light-hearted, but there was a sincerity underneath that made his heart skip a beat.

As they finished their meal, Jisung cleared the dishes, insisting that Chenle relax. They moved back to the living room, settling on the couch once more. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, filled with an unspoken understanding that things were shifting between them.

Chenle looked at Jisung, feeling a mix of gratitude and something deeper. ❝Thanks for cooking, Jisung. And for... everything else.❞

Jisung smiled softly, reaching over to ruffle Chenle's hair. ❝Anytime, Chenle. I'm here for you.❞

Chenle leaned into the touch, feeling a sense of contentment wash over him. ❝I know. And it means a lot to me.❞
