Chenle stirred first, slowly awakening from one of the best sleeps he had ever had. He blinked a few times, taking in the sight of Jisung's peaceful face so close to his. The previous night's events flooded back to him, and he couldn't help but smile at the memory of their cuddle session and how Jisung had carried him to bed.
Jisung, sensing the movement, slowly woke up as well. He stretched slightly, careful not to disturb Chenle, and then smiled at him. ❝Good morning,❞ he whispered, his voice husky with sleep.
❝Good morning,❞ Chenle replied softly, feeling a rush of warmth at Jisung's gentle tone.
Just then, Chenle's phone rang, breaking the tranquility of the moment. He glanced at the screen and saw it was his parents calling. He sat up, answering the call with a cheerful, ❝Hi, Mom! Hi, Dad!❞
Jisung watched with a fond smile as Chenle spoke to his parents, the conversation flowing in rapid Mandarin. Jisung understood bits and pieces, but mostly he enjoyed the happy expression on Chenle's face as he caught up with his family.
A few minutes into the call, Jisung called out to Chenle, ❝Hey, Chenle, do you want to go out for breakfast?❞
Chenle's parents, hearing Jisung's voice, immediately perked up. ❝Who was that?❞ his mother asked, curiosity piqued.
Chenle's cheeks turned pink, and he glanced nervously at Jisung before replying, ❝That's Jisung, Mom. He's my... friend.❞
❝Friend?❞ his father chimed in. ❝Are you sure he's just a friend?❞
Chenle's blush deepened. ❝Yes, just a friend,❞ he insisted, though his voice lacked conviction.
Jisung, who had been listening in, chuckled softly and muttered under his breath, ❝Not yet.❞
Chenle shot him a look, but there was a hint of a smile on his lips. After a few more minutes of chatting with his parents and assuring them that he was fine, Chenle ended the call. He turned to Jisung, his cheeks still pink. ❝They think you're my boyfriend,❞ he said, half-amused, half-embarrassed.
Jisung grinned, unbothered. ❝Well, can you blame them? We did wake up together.❞
Chenle groaned playfully and threw a pillow at Jisung, who dodged it easily, laughing. ❝You're impossible,❞ Chenle muttered, though his eyes were filled with warmth.

Once they were both fully awake and dressed, they decided to head out for breakfast. Their classes didn't start until the afternoon, so they had plenty of time. They walked hand-in-hand to a nearby café, the cool morning air waking them up fully.
The café was quaint and cozy, with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filling the air. They found a table near the window, and a friendly waitress handed them menus. As they perused the options, something caught Jisung's eye.
❝Hey, look at this,❞ Jisung said, pointing to a section on the menu. ❝They have a couple's breakfast special. It looks cute.❞
Chenle's eyes widened as he saw the listing. It included a heart-shaped pancake stack, a fruit platter arranged like a flower, and two lattes with hearts drawn in the foam. His cheeks flushed a deep red. ❝You want to get that?❞ he asked, his voice small.
Jisung nodded eagerly, his eyes sparkling with mischief. ❝Yeah, it looks fun. What do you think?❞
Chenle hesitated for a moment, his mind racing with thoughts of how couple-like it would look, but then he caught Jisung's expectant gaze. ❝Okay,❞ he agreed, his blush deepening. ❝Let's get it.❞
Jisung cooed at Chenle's bashful expression and reached over to pinch his cheek gently. ❝You're so cute when you blush.❞
Chenle swatted Jisung's hand away, trying to hide his embarrassment. ❝Stop it,❞ he mumbled, though he couldn't help but smile.
When their order arrived, it was just as adorable as they had imagined. The heart-shaped pancakes were perfectly golden, the fruit platter was vibrant and colorful, and the lattes were almost too pretty to drink. They snapped a few pictures of the meal before digging in.
❝This is really good,❞ Chenle said, savoring a bite of pancake. ❝I'm glad we got this.❞
❝Me too,❞ Jisung agreed, sipping his latte. ❝And it's even better because I'm sharing it with you.❞
Chenle's heart fluttered at Jisung's words, and he couldn't help but smile shyly. They continued eating, sharing bites of food and laughing at each other's antics. The atmosphere was light and filled with warmth, and for a moment, it felt like they were in their own little world.
After finishing their breakfast, they lingered at the café for a while, enjoying each other's company. Eventually, it was time to head to their afternoon classes. They paid the bill and left the café, walking back to campus with contented smiles on their faces.

As they strolled along the tree-lined paths, Jisung glanced at Chenle. ❝You know, I really enjoyed this morning. We should do it more often.❞
Chenle nodded, his heart feeling light and happy. ❝Yeah, I'd like that too.❞
They reached the university and parted ways to head to their respective classes.
With a final wave, they headed off to their classes, each carrying the memory of a perfect morning that marked the beginning of something beautiful.
