Blood seeped from Blade’s mouth. His hand cradled the open wound that was slashed across his chest.

When he went back to hq, he was greeted with pain. A punishment it seems, for letting y/n get away.

“Even for an immortal such as yourself, that wound won’t heal quickly, nor will It heal easily. Hopefully, you learned your lesson from this,” Elio spoke as he motioned for Sam to step away from Blade. Speaking of the immortal, he merely nodded but said nothing as Sam went up to him again, this time with no weapons drawn, and grabbed him by the shoulder, “let’s go.”

Both Kafka and Elio watched as Sam escorted Blade out of the meeting room, most likely towards the infirmary.

“Kafka, we mustn’t let y/n out of our grasp. Blade won’t tell us where he took her, but if she manages to find a way to nullify the contract, then all that work will be for nothing. Y/n must join the Stellaron Hunters no matter the cost.”

“Of course, Y/n will join the us, one way or another. It is in the script you have provided after all,” Kafka answered.

Meanwhile, Firefly had left the suit. Her hands worked meticulously at Blade’s opened wounds, “you should have just brought her here.”

“I know.”

“But instead, you're bleeding everywhere and were punished.”

“I know.”

“Death will come for you eventually if you keep acting this recklessly.”

“I know-“

“Can you say anything else besides, I know?!”

Firefly huffed out aggressively as she finished nursing his wounds. He heals faster than most, but just as Elio said, these will take a while.

“I couldn’t bring her here.”

“Why not?”

“She didn’t want to…and…”

Firefly raised an eyebrow and waited for his answer.

“The Stellaron Hunters isn’t a place for someone as soft as she is.”

That wasn’t the whole truth, and Firefly knew it, but she decided not to question him further, “she will be joining us. One way or another. You know this.”

“Not unless she can escape Elio’s script.”

“Do you think that’s even possible?”

“She’s done it before. Granted, she did it without meaning to, but that’s exactly why Elio needs her. She’s the only one out of us all who can’t be controlled by such a thing.”

Firefly looked towards the door to the infirmary, then back to Blade, “why do you think she’s the only one? Why is she the only one who gets to defy the script?”

“…Who knows, but I wouldn’t envy her if I were you.”

“Why not?”

“Because, by defying fate itself…you defy the Aeons.”
