THE AIR WAS TENSE SOPHIA AND NATALIA BOTH STILL LOST WITHIN THE DENSE FOREST. worry and fear hung heavy on the group, some already beginning to mourn the life of the two girls.  carol and lori had spent hours crying in one another's arms before shane and glenn returned, deciding they needed to move cars instead of crying. keep the group safe even if they were missing two of their young members. it had been hours since shane and glenn had returned to the camp, when it was nearly sundown was when rick and daryl had arrived. empty handed and guilt ridden, bloodied hands and a stained red shirt. the trail they'd been following had ran cold, not a single trace of the two girls, as if they had vanished, unsure of which direction the two had led themselves in. it hadn't been easy to return back to the camp, empty handed, leaving the two girls to fend for themselves, keep themselves alive with the infected roaming freely throughput the thick trees. rick had wanted to keep searching for his daughter, it sounded selfish but he was more worried for natalia then he was sophia. the dixon man had to practically force rick to go back to the camp, not allowing rick to stay within the forest to get himself lost too. blood, dirt, and grim clung to ricks white tshirt. carol and loris sobs could be heard as the two men climbed over the railing, their heads hung low as they made their way towards the others, their jaws clenched tightly, weapons still in hand. "you didn't find them?" carol cried out, looking between the two men who didn't response.

lori wrapped her arms around herself, her eyes blood shot and her cheeks puffy, hands shaking as she clutched her top. fresh tears began to spill down her cheeks when rick shook his head. the group members drawing close to the two whom had finally returned. the walsh boy jogged over, half expecting natalia to be with them, ready to give the girl an ear full. call her idiotic, and reckless before getting her in a life threatening hug. lee's face dropped a upon seeing the two with no talia. rick looked down, his hands resting on his hips as his red eyes met carols, his jaw going slack, trembling entirely. rick glanced to his wife who was holding onto carol, both of the women crying for their daughters. "she's twelve!" carol cried, fearing the worst for her daughter. rick looked to his feet, nodding at carols words, his heart thumping heavily in his chest. he already felt tremendously guilty, the emotion withering within every bone he had. "she can't be out there by herself!" carol cried, loris arms tightening around her. the grimes woman bit her bottom lip to stop herself from sobbing. "talia's with her." lee weakly tried to reassure the women, he knew natalia well enough to know she'd be able to keep them safe. he felt sick to his stomach, thinking that the girl could be gone, he didn't want to believe she was dead; not yet. it was far to soon for him to believe that, to even think that.

she was fast, lee just prayed she'd be fast enough to out run a walker with sophia. in a selfish way, if it came down to it, he wanted natalia to keep herself alive, rather then worrying about both of them. yet he knew her better then that, she was just like her father, she'd keep sophia alive, she'd put her life on the line before even thinking about risking sophia's life. "why would you leave them by themselves! our daughters are missing because you left them!" carol cried out, glaring at rick who's face fell even more. guilt eating him alive, rick shook his head, his eyes glossing over. lee gave the mama reassuring look. he wondered if carol forgot rick's daughter was also lost, if she knew the guilt that he had because the two were missing. shane stepped in, looking to carol with sympathy. "he did what he had to do." shane told the woman, lori shakily released carol, wiping at her own tear stained cheeks. her eyes full of salty tears, she'd done her best trying to hide the worry from carl. not wanting to scare the boy, but now it had all broken.
