THE UNKOWN WAS the leading fear in america. the meer thought of not knowing what was gonna happen, how life was turn out scared people. being kept in the darkness about the future, it was fearful. although now, lee wasnt afraid of not knowing what would happen, rather he liked not knowing.

not knowing what problems they run into, what could happen, it now brought a sense of comfort. he didn't need to worry his mind with knowing what could happen.

he wasn't sure if anyone else would agree, rather perhaps they enjoy knowing. knowing what could happen, maybe it wouldn't bring fear, it wouldn't be much of a surprise, rather it would be something they'd already prepped for.

he wondered if they would've prepped for now if they'd known. if they could go back, to the small town where they found the boy, would they still of helped him, or leave him to become walker food.

they sat around the small fire pit outside, lori held a kettle full of boiling water. steam rising from the kettle as she poured the liquid into a coffee mug. "so whatcha' gonna do? i think we'd all feel better if we knew the plan." lori told, setting the kettle back onto the open flame. hands gently cupping the mug she held, looking between the two best friends who only stared back at the group.

lee leaned against a tree, he lightly nodded his head. agreeing with the grimes women, his arms were folded over his chest, a frown on his lips as he looked between the two men. "is there a plan?" andrea questioned, her hands placed on her hips as she looked between the two. rick let out a small sigh, "we gonna keep him here?" gleen questioned, hands stuffed within his pockets.

rick and shane looked between one another, both shifted on their feet. "we'll know soon enough." rick told, looking over his shoulder at the sound of approaching footsteps. daryl gruffed, his hand clutching the cross boy tightly in his hand. "boys got a gang, thirty men. heavy machinery, and they ain't lookin' to make friends. they roll through here, our boys are dead. our women gonna wish they were." daryl told, lee felt his stomach twist at the man's words. minding seemingly instantly flashing to natalia.

he shook his head, running a hand through his mop of loose curls. "what'd you do?" carol questioned softly, looking warily to the dixon man. lee turned his attention to the dixon man, eyes focused on the blood that resided on his knuckles, the man shrugged, beginning to walk once more. "had a little chat." he told blankly, his tone slightly threatening. carol pursed her lips at the man's words. rick rested his hands atop his hips, "no one goes near this guy." he declared. his tone declaring that was final and there would be no room for discussion.

lori stood, moving towards her husband. "rick, what're you gonna do?" she questioned, looking up to the man who clenched his jaw, fighting a silent battle within his head. "we have no choice. he's a threat." rick told, eyes meeting her own. lee neared the small huddle they'd created, hands stuffed into his pockets. "threats gotta be eliminated." he told, lee nodded slowly. he couldn't disagree that the boy had to be put down. no matter how wrong it sounded or how wrong it felt, the boy was still a threat to their people. their group had to be put above the boy.
