THE GROUP HAD FOLLOWED JENNER BACK INTO THE ROOM FILLED WITH DIFFERENT COMPUTER STATIONS. the room more so mimicked a half circle, the rows of desks slightly curved and each faced the large screen that made up the furthest wall, each desk station having its own computer. the screens were all black, creating a mirror like cover, a thin layer of dust covering the keyboards and the screens, the lack of usage letting the dust build up. natalia looked to jenner who walked a few rows before them, his hand loosely clutched the wine bottle in his hand as he looked around the room, taking a long sip from the glass, setting it onto one of the desks with a soft clink. "very few people got to see this." jenner began, the man fired up the screen on the furthest wall. the large screen slowly filled with color, revealing a screen that showed someone's brain, blue in color, showing the different veins within the brain. "is that a brain?" carl questioned looking up at the man. jenner looked from the screen then to the grimes boy, he gave the child a small nod, a weak smile on his lips at the sight. "an extraordinary one." jenner told with a weak smile. natalia furrowed her brows, yet she remained quiet as the man stared sadly at the sight, a heavy breath escaping his wine soaked lips. the man rubbed the back of his neck, slightly rolling his shoulders. "v, zoom into three." jenner told the robotic woman, the sight on the screen zoomed in, showing the inside of the brain. different colored lines showed on the screen, with small brightly colored circles were shown moving through the lines. natalia watched in fascination at the sight, her lips slightly parted and eyes wide as she trailed her vision of the screen, taking in what he was showing them. "what're the lights?" shane questioned, pointing a finger at the screen everyone looked to in awe. slowly natalia turned her attention back to the scientist. jenner glancing to the man before back to the screen. "it's a persons life. all their memories; everything." jenner explained, his tone speaking with fascination. he enjoyed speaking about things he found interesting, it made him love his job more then anything else.
the man shifted taking a few steps to the side as he began to pace, waving his hands around a bit. "somewhere in all of those waves is you! something that makes all of you unique." jenner told, pointing to rick who stared at the screen. natalia nodded softly at the man's words, understanding what he was saying to a certain degree. they had briefly learned about what he showed them in science, yet they'd never seen something so real looking. "that all makes us?" daryl wondered aloud, looking to the man who nodded, pointing a finger at the dixon before pointing it back to the screen. "those all determine what someone says! what they do!" jenner explained, moving his hands around as he spoke. natalia glanced to her mother before back to the screen, her teeth sunk into her bottom lip. jenner looked between everyone's faces. some showing confusion and others showing interest in what he spoke of. each of them understanding what he was saying to a certain degree. "from the moment of birth to death." jenner slowly added, a frown on his lips as he looked back to the colorful lights. rick took a few slow steps towards the man who had his back to them. "death? this a visual?" the grimes man questioned, raising a brow at jenner who nodded his head at the grimes man. natalia pushed her hair behind her ears, watching the lights shining brightly. "this person died?" andrea questioned moving closer to the screen. jenner looked to the blonde woman over his shoulder, he pursed his lips giving her a curt nod in response. "who?" andrea quickly added, her brows furrowed in confusion. "test subject nineteen" jenner softly told, looking between andrea then to the others who stayed watching the man in curiosity. natalia watched with furrowed brows as he spoke to the robotic voice, watching her move to a different area. repeating the words, jenner had already spoken. natalia's mouth slightly parted in shock, a pit forming in her stomach in the most disgusting way. she could hardly believe what she was seeing. they watched as the veins, the once vibrant blues and yellows that had been within the brain slowly started to turn black. it had started from the base of the head, whatever it was slowly traveled upwards, getting deeper and deeper into the brain. tainting the memories a dark red color before ultimately turning them a deep shade of black. "what is that?" gleen questioned, his brows were furrowed in both shock and fear as he looked to jenner. "that's what the virus does?" natalia questioned after gleen, earning a nod from jenner.
