chapter 20: Kai

All my focus tried to be on Jake but I was worried about Autumn.
Even though she was with my sisters they tend to be to rough. I sigh removing the thought of calling her from my mind. I had called her 3 times already this morning.
I stared at Jake's sleeping body debating if I should let him sleep.
"Wake up" I end with that conclusion.
He grunts and flips over.
"Wake up"I say again after he gave no reasonable reaction the first time.
He gets up and I leave him to get dressed.
I was prepared to give Jake the best 2 weeks of his life.
Everything from hiking, skydiving,deepsea diving, bunjy jumping. I basically got every activity Sydney could offer.
He came down and walked into the kitchen so far he was in his normal swing of things.
"So what are we doing today?"he asks almost excited.
"Is that excitement in your voice"I ridicule
"Yeah ofcourse. I am about to be treated like a baby by my rich friend.how could I not?"he said sarcastically another emotion.
I smiled completely satisfied.
"Well today,if you most now we are going bunjy jumping" the statement earned a raise of his eyebrows. Another emotion but I was not certain why I was being gifted it.
"Afraid of heights?"I jokingly asked.
"Nah. Just" he sighs"you are not completely healed Kai. Take it easy" he said throwing on the only apron the Airbnb offered.
That was Jake
"No need to worry I am fine, I feel fine"I said getting a tad bit defensive.
"Okay if you say so. Now help me make some muffins" he chuckles
"Okay since you begged "I joke as I rolled up my sleeves to join him.

We arrived at the place with was a few feet below the cliff I assumed w would be jumping from.
We were put in the gear and sent to meet another set of people on the cliff.
The hike there made me reconsider taking the other hiking activity I had planned.
"Jump"
And off we were.
Shit, I curse in my head. My sides.
I turn to face Jake whose smile was so wide had to join him.
We were left dangling for a few minutes. Everything hurt at this point but Jake did not need to know. As long as I could walk we were good.
Being dragged back up was the worst part. I winced and Jake noticed.
"You good?" He asked. I nodded
Liar.
It started pouring on the way back to the car. I had to run.
Shit, I cursed again thinking of the pain I would have to power through.
Jake talks the whole way to the car and I feel less pain.
In a matter of minutes we are back home but it was still late and pouring.
I go to my room And call the only thought that has been on my mind since I got here.Autumn.
I knew I was not cut out for long distance relationships and this was definitely proof of that.
But I knew any thing worth having was worth the wait even though I caused the wait.it doesn't matter where I was I am hers.
Kai: hello darling.
Autumn:hi 😁
Autumn:how was your day?
Kai: good. We went bungy jumping. How was your's?
I omitted the current throbbing if my body.
A ring.
It was Autumn calling
"I hope your not to tired" she said. I could here mumbles in the background.
"Never too tired for you darling"I meant it
"I miss you"she sighed." I wonder if we ever think of each other at the same time"she sighed again.
"I think of you all the time"I said raising my hand to my head." I crave you in the most innocent ways. I crave to tell you good night, I crave giving you forehead kisses and to say i adore you when you feel the worst" say rolling to my side.
"Well I crave to be next to you and nothing else"she said softly"I had a dream about you last night".
"Yeah? Me too"but the dream was far from innocent
" We were in a garden holding hands and... Let's go to a garden when you get back to make my dream a reality"I could imagine the grin on her face."what was your dream about?"
I cough "nothing"I say in a slightly higher pitch than my normal talking voice.
"A dirty dream I see. In that case we are sure to make your dream a reality too. It's only far"she teased making me cough again.
"Good night MalaKai Korolev"
"Good night darling"
I drop my hand, stared at the ceiling and thought of her till I was sure she was thinking of me too.
I feel asleep and dreamt of her
Innocently.
