When Z made it back home, he crashed onto his bed. All the stress of the trial along with a severe lack of sleep was finally collapsed onto him.
Everyone of course respected his wish for a nice and long rest.
Indeed Z did have that just that. Until, that dream again. You know the one.
4 young boys playing in abundant nature, a kingly silhouette reaches out to Z, ending in the name Gawain.
Z didn't jut himself awake like last time. He calmly opened his eyes.
He sat up and stretched.
He looked on his phone. He fell asleep in the afternoon yesterday. Now it was the morning of the next day.
Ze-Ro: Woah. Haven't slept that long in years.
Ze-Ro got up and did some more stretches and yoga, as prescribed by Dr. Maheswaren. Gets the blood flowing.
When he was done with that, he then felt more hungry than ever before.
Ze-Ro: Well skipping lunch and dinner does that. What to eat...
Ze-Ro walked downstairs. Lapis and Peridot were downstairs watching TV.
The sprung up when they saw Z coming down stairs awake and rested.
Ze-Ro yawned and stretched once more.
Ze-Ro: Morning. I needed that.
Lapis: Yeah, you were out cold as soon as you got home.
Peridot: Are you feeling alright?
Ze-Ro: Honestly, all I'm feeling is hungry.
Z looked around and saw the house was less crowded than usual.
Ze-Ro: Where are all my girls?
Lapis: The Reds are at school. Pearl and Steven is taking Love for a walk.
Ze-Ro: Hm.
He walked over to the fridge and opened the freezer, finding something to satisfy his hunger.
He then saw something in the back. A bix labeled, "mozzarella sticks".
He saw the melted cheese and found it appealing enough.
He merely grabbed one out of the box, grasped it with both of his hands and heated it up instantly to the perfect warmth to enjoy some cheesy goodness.
He found the package came with a red sauce. He heated it up as well.
He dipped the stick in the sauce and took a chomp. The gooey cheese made a nice and amazing string as he moved the stick away from his mouth.
The fried skin, the cheese, and the sauce exploded his new favorite flavor in his mouth.
Ze-Ro: Mm!
He pounded the rest of the stick.
Ze-Ro: This might be my new favorite thing ever.
He warmed up another and chowed down.
Lapis: Oh that's Amethysts secret stache. She likes to hide those here.
Ze-Ro: Since when has Amethyst tried to hide anything?
Peridot: I don't know, I guess the down has some weird stigma on those things. Something about a war?
Ze-Ro: Who has a war over these? That's just stupid.
He sat down on the couch.
Ze-Ro: What are you watching?
