The Warship covered the skies of Beach City. The elites of the Empire were watching from above.
The Emperor himself sat in the control room, witnessing this attack first hand.
But his side were Argent, Slate, Pewter, and Tal-Conq.
Tal-Conq: Shall we go down and wreak some havoc?
Emperor: I suspect the diamonds have put their ships on high guard. So yes, you will need to lead the elite forces.
Pewter: Indeed, they have a stronghold containing all their intergalactic vessels.
Argent: What of us my lord?
Slate: We will teach these lawless maggots the true glory of the Empire.
Emperor: Now now, let's keep our cards close to our chest for now. I believe the elites can handle it for now.
Tal-Conq: I shall go assemble the elites my lord.
Tal left and the Emperor sat and observed the city.
Emperor: Argent, I think I will go down there.
Argent: Why my lord? It's just a realm of beings who see fit to coexist with destroyers.
Emperor: I'm, curious. I wish to see the diamond withing the rough in its natural home. How will he handle this attack, I wonder.
Before anyone could interject, the Emperor seemed to have vanished. Argent turned to the short advisor and grand vizier now as Pewter.
Argent: Tell me, he will be safe down there, won't he?
Pewter: He will not have a scratch on him. But we may have to intervene eventually.
Slate: It's good to know we will personally teach these lawless heathens the proper path.
Back at the surface, the gems gathered and once again prepared for a fight.
Pearl, Garnet and Pearl went over to help with the main force.
Lapis and Peridot were with Ze-Ro, who was frozen in place with fear and terror.
Lapis: Ze-Ro? Ze-Ro!
He snapped out of it and just looked at her.
Lapis: Me and Peridot are going to go? Will you be okay?
Ze-Ro: I, don't want to be here.
Lapis: Well then just stay here, we'll be back, just take cover and stay safe.
Ze-Ro ran inside a house and hid from the attack. He never felt more useless before. Even if he did have his powers, he wouldn't fight his home.
Voice of Hatred: What are you doing!? Go out there and fight for the motherland! Now's your chance to show home what we are made of! Those gems will never see it coming!
"No, I can't"
Voice of Hatred: You can and you must! You want their love, then earn it!
"I, don't know"
Voice of Hatred: You don't know? Does the love of the empire not mean anything to you?
"I don't know"
Voice of Sadness: But do we deserve any of it? Love from either home or hither?
"I, don't know"
Voice of Hatred: Well what do you know!?
