A week had passed since the attack of Gaaraxis. Since then things have been peaceful. Except Ze-Ro had been high on pain killers.
He was delirious and woozy for days on end. Pearl and Love were there by his side the entire time.
Pearl enjoyed that Ze-Ro seemed really happy to have her around to mother him.
But as a week went by his deliciousness went away and his legs were just jelly. He couldn't walk on his own.
He was laying on the couch watching TV.
Pearl was by his side with a bowl of soup and Love was laying on his chest.
Pearl: Alright now here comes the train.
Pearl made various noises of what she thought a train sounded like, mind you she have never been on a train all her life.
Ze-Ro avoided the spoon as it hit his face.
Ze-Ro: *Gah* Pearl stop. I told you I'm not hungry.
Pearl: Nonsense you've hardly eaten ever since that assassin.
Ze-Ro: You know, if we did some training I'd get more of an appetite.
Pearl: Nope, not happening until you get all better.
Ze-Ro: Cmon! I'm fine, look at me!
Pearl: Can you walk?
Ze-Ro looked down at his feet. He then caved to his feeling and made a pleasing look in his eyes.
Ze-Ro: Please?
Pearl: Nope. All you need to think about is rest and relaxation. In fact here's a blankie. I sewed it together myself.
Pearl put a giant blanket on Ze-Ro with a giant Pearl point on top of it.
Ze-Ro groaned.
Pearl: Is it comfy?
Ze-Ro: Well, yeah, it is actually.
Lapis got back home from painting right when Ze-Ro was getting comfy. She saw Ze-Ro with his new blanket.
Lapis: Don't you look, comfy.
Ze-Ro blushed and took the blanket off.
Ze-Ro: Well Pearl has refused to train me. So I've been, bored.
Lapis: She's just worried about you.
Pearl: Darn right I am.
Ze-Ro: But I feel fine! Just a little dizzy is all. Hm, maybe I'll go to the spa. Haven't been since Gaaraxis.
Lapis then had an idea.
Lapis: You know what, mind if I join you? I've never actually bathed in the spa waters before.
Ze-Ro froze as if Sapphire used her supreme ice powers. The implications of going with Lapis overwhelmed his mind beyond reckoning.
Seeing other gems at the spa was one thing, but seeing Lapis would be too much.
Ze-Ro spaced out and Lapis definitely noticed. Pearl grew worried.
Lapis: Ze-Ro? You seem, super tense all of a sudden. Are you okay?
Ze-Ro: Y-Yeah...
Lapis: You're face is red, and you're sweating a LOT!
Ze-Ro: No I'm not!
Pearl: Oh dear, you have to go now!
Ze-Ro: NO I DON'T!
Lapis: Come on. You're probably still sore, the spa waters will help you out.
