Hands Held by God

Back to the days of two naughty teens,
Preparing life, chasing dreams.
Shedding tears, sharing laughters,
Making love, building home.

Joined by the hands of God,
Doing life, reaching their dreams.
More tears and even more laughter,
Still making love, light fills their home.

There they sat in their warm bed,
Talking about life and shared dreams,
Happy tears and echoes of laughter,
Full of love, hope fills their home.

Sitting outside the hospital room,
Chasing her life, him wishing it's just a dream,
Tears fill the air, missing her laughter,
Aching for his love, his light, his home.

They were back as a kid,
God who gave her life, took his dream first.
No more tears and only laughter,
While she waits for her love, her light, her home.
