Doc continued to glare at the scientist, why the hell were they here? Not even going into how they tried to take away his mate, they had let his mate get injured. He wasn't going to be forgiving the scientists any time soon. A loud hiss came from Doc, only for it to get cut off by said mate snuggling into his side. The hiss quickly turned into a purr-like noise, earning a laugh from Ren. "You sound like a cat!" Doc rolled his eyes a bit, "Ick. Really? Was that the only purring thing you could think of? Why a cat?" Ren laughed a bit louder, "Mhmhmh... How about a raccoon!?" The creeper/goat hybrid chuckled a bit. "Can we just go back to sleep since the scientist is gone?" Ren was quick to yank Doc back down into a pile of cuddles. And, slowly but surely, the pair fell back to sleep, holding each other as closely as they possibly could.

...

Doc's eyes jolted open. Why the hell did he keep having dreams of him? A loud sigh came from the creeper/goat hybrid, this was starting to get very tiring... "Popa?" (Yes, this is how I am going to spell it when Scar says "Papa") Doc looked over to see his kid, Scar. "What is it? Is something wrong?" Scar hesitantly shook his head, making Doc raise an eyebrow. "Then... What do you need?"

"Uh-uhm.... I was, uh, wondering if we could visit Cub and his Dad again...? Please?" Doc smiled a bit, a semi-low and quiet laugh came from the taller hybrid. "Hehehe... Sure thing, Troublemaker." Scar scrunched up his little greyish-blue face, his ears and tail twitching downward. "'M not a tr-trobl-maker!!'" Doc laughed a bit louder, "Well, you may not be an actual 'Troublemaker', but you are very clumsy!" Scar pouted at this statement.

Doc sighed, "Alright just give me a few minutes to fix up, then I will call Cub's father and ask, alright?" The small Vexes pout immediately disappeared, being quickly replaced with a bright smile. "OK, POPA!!!" With that, Scar ran out of the room, leaving Doc, who was still lightly chuckling to himself about that entire interaction.
