Dear future lover,

Once you entered my life and built memories with me, I don't care how long it would take without us talking, but I would surely remember you. I would remember you by the smallest detail you shared with me. Either your favorite song, your favorite TV show to watch during your break time, or your favorite verse of the poem you saw on the Internet. I'm surely gonna remember you even by the first ticket we bought to watch our favorite movie together that we binge-watch at home. I would remember you by your scent, your favorite playlist to listen to just to fall asleep at night, and even your favorite coffee to drink every morning that removes your grumpiness and replaces a brighter smile at the sight of me.

I don't care if it took long years without us talking, but I would instantly remember you by the first song we sang together that we laughed at because of how dedicated we were to singing our hearts out. I would remember you by the first flip of the pages from a very touching story that I read because of the familiar lines you used to reassure me with. "it's always going to be you."

But if you ever feel the need to go on separate ways, I'm not going to force you to stay. Because I know that you have your own life and ambitions to pursue. I will support you instead. I will support you with all my heart. Because I know that there are things that we need to do alone for us to grow independently and maturely. That's why I'm always going to be here for you even before you come back into my arms. I'm here waiting for you and loving you from afar.

Going in separate ways may make me feel sad, but it's going to be fine. I'm going to be your cheerleader and a handkerchief to wipe your tears when you feel exhausted with life's complicatedness. I'm going to be there with you even when it's your most boring day and busy day. You don't need to feel guilty and say sorry all the time just because you don't have time for me. It's ok for as long as you let me know how your day went. That's how I love. That's how I cherish the people that impacted my life tremendously.

And I will give you the love that you so deserve. And when that day comes, you will never cry in sorrow anymore. You will never be alone to fight all your battles anymore. You will always have me. I will fill you with love and assurances, and loyalty, and faithfulness. For I know that after all of this, I'm still going to be your home and you're still going to be my favorite place.
