REBECCA PATRICIA'S POV
Freen was really busy the following days. She was always with one book or the other reading intensely, with all concentration buried in them. And not even giving me a minute of her time.
She's in The Palace and so am I, but it feels like we're miles away and I can't seem to reach her, no matter how hard I try.
It's been three days now and she's still keeping up this attitude of hers. Although I know she's busy, researching in The Palace and still going to the site for the new subsidiary.
It's really been hectic for her but it's Freen... She's suppose to just make out time for me no matter what.
Today I'm going to talk to her. Even if she pushes me away, I'll still insist on talking to her. It's been years, she should at least give me ten minutes of her time.
I walked up to her with her concentration buried on some Thailand's History books.
"You're concentrating so much, reading Thailand's history as if you don't know it like the back of your palm." I said but she didn't even put up her head to look at me.
"Don't tell me you've forgotten all about Thailand's History when you left for China." I joked more.
"How did you know that I've been in China? Forget about it. I'm busy becky. Aren't you here to help?" she asked, turning back to her books as I nodded my head in response.
"Then do your job and stop bothering me." She said still deeply invested in that book.
"Yes ma'am." I teased. I don't know why but bossy Freen is really sexy. Stop it Rebecca, you're married.
I just sat down next to her staring at her while she totally ignored me and just concentrated on her books, even though she knew I was staring at her.
"The list for the candidates is here boss." One of her subordinates said handing a document over to her.
"I'm too busy to take part in the oral presentation, I'll just see their written work." She replied. "And I need update on the site" she said handing the list back to him after going through it.
"Yes boss!" He said before leaving.
She turned back to the book In front of her, still ignoring my presence.
"Boss? Aren't you like, Naleke's assistant?" I asked trying to start up a conversation.
"I'm his prodigy." She replied without looking at me.
"So why are they calling you the boss? Like your a CEO or something." I asked laughing.
"I am the CEO. Chankimha publishing house. The Naleke's subsidiary in Thailand? I'm running it. And they're all under me. Although I'm not making my company that hierarchical." She said standing up, moving back to the book shelf.
"Your company?" She's starting a company?
"Yes Becky, my company. Have you forgotten? I always talked about owning my own publishing company. It looks like that dream is gradually coming through."
"And Naleke is helping you? Where did you even meet him? He's like unreachable." She was quiet for a while and just placed the books back in their various shelves before turning to me.
