FREEN SAROCHA'S POV

This is the reason why I wanted to reject the opportunity to return to Thailand. Becky!

Becky has been all over me ever since I returned. She doesn't even work in my company but yet she comes around almost every single day in the pretence of being a customer. I don't like this, but I don't want to be rude to a Royal.

But maybe I should have been. Maybe I should have drawn the line between Becky and I. Because now, Serena is feeling some type of way. I don't blame her, who remains in contact with their ex and expect their partner to understand?

And this, is like the nth time Serena has come to my office to see me, and caught Becky lurking around, discussing unnecessary topics and just generally wiling away time.

"Hi Serena." Becky waved as Serena entered my office.

"Hi Rebecca, you're here." Serena replied giving me that 'why is she here again?' look.

"The Princess came in for an inquiry and she wanted to show me her manuscript. She's working on something." I explained without being asked. Guilty much?

"You don't need to explain yourself to Serena Freen. I mean, we're all close. And it's not like we were doing anything bad or something." Becky joked, obviously trying to piss Serena off, while acting like it wasn't intentional. And Serena never claps back, but I should.

I should say something, warn Becky not to be rude to my girlfriend but I couldn't. My brain knows that that's what Serena expects of me as her girlfriend but my heart wouldn't let me hurt Becky's feelings.

"Can you excuse us Becky? I have a private meeting with my girlfriend." I said getting up to kiss Serena. I need to do at least this for her.

Becky just hissed and left the office. I don't know what her problem is. She's married, what does she still want with me?

Serena brought me food because I woke up late and didn't eat before rushing to the office. She served me and tried to be cool but I knew she wasn't happy with Becky's constant presence around me.

"Why was she in your office today again?" Serena asked in all seriousness as I came out of the bathroom. She has been grumpy all day long and when we were about going to bed, she finally let it out.

"She was making inquiries." I simply replied.

"Mhmmm, inquiries. Are you going to stick with that story?" She asked with squinted eyes.

"Serena, it's the truth. She was asking me about publications and consumer awareness." I replied tugging the sheets to cover me.

"I don't like her around you Freen, I don't."

"I know baby" I said kissing her head. "I know and I'm sorry. I just don't know how to push her away without sounding rude. She doesn't take a hint."

"She does. She just doesn't care because you're leading her on." Serena said turning her back to me.

Serena isn't wrong. I'm not suppose to be around Becky. She's my ex. That just swings a big red flag in our relationship. I don't want Becky around, but I do. Her naivety, her curiosity, the sound of her laugh, it all sways me.

I shouldn't be swayed by her again, I have a girlfriend. But all those memories and feelings, it's all coming back to me. It's not intentional, but when she smiles at me, she makes my heart fluster.
