REBECCA PATRICIA'S POV

Seoul is a beautiful city, I've visited many times but never without my parents present or at least their supervision. This is the first time I'm in a foreign land without guards or personal assistants.

YWT staff members include cooks, cleaners, general helps and one personal assistants for each participant. It's against the program's regulations for external assistants to be brought along no matter your status. So I came alone but I wasn't really thrilled about it.

I and two others took a helicopter from the airport to the camp when our plane from Thailand landed while the others took the bus I guess. I can't really tell because I was paying little to no attention to the other students making this trip with me.

I promised my parents to obey them but I don't have to pretend to care when they're not around.

I'm been forced to study English and literary studies and now I've been chosen as one of the YWT participants. I'm wasting an opportunity that should have been given to students who actually deserves it.

I mean, why choose from the most prestigious institutions when we don't really value it? Instead of choosing the best fifteen students in the country who actually deserves this opportunity?

The helicopter took us right into the camp. There's a helipad on top one of the tall buildings in the camp, so we landed right there and took the elevator down to the first floor. There, our mobile devices were taken from us and we were scanned before been directed to our residence.

The camp was a beauty to behold. It's a city of it's own. About one hundred students from the most prestigious schools across the Asian continent were accepted and we all have our own personal space. Although there's still a difference between where participants like me stay and where the others reside.

Our residence was prepared prior to our arrival but my assistant still had to arrange my clothes and other accessories I came with. There's no computer in the room. Calls can only be made once in three days and it's done in the phone booth.

But I had a telephone in my room, in case of an emergency, base on my caliber of person, my calls were also been monitored and I also can only make regular calls once in three days and for not more than five minutes. Nobody is allowed with any phone, smart watch or computer that can surf the internet.

Assignments and projects are done the ancient way, using books in the library and we typed with a typewriter too. This was so, no one gets ideas from the internet or professional writers outside the camp. That way, all participants are accessed fairly based on their abilities and not riches and connections.

After resting for a bit, at dusk, we gathered in the great hall for the opening ceremony. The tables were arranged according to countries. And we were directed to our respective tables.

I'm The Princess of Thailand, so of course I arrived late. The opening speech had already started when I arrived. Apart from me, there were only two other participants with high status. The daughter of the prime minister of India, Divyanka Kapoor and the nephew of The president of the people's republic of china, Cheng Yi Ming

Many students who recognized me curtsied and bowed but I barely responded to any of their greetings.

When I was well settled in my seat, I looked at the faces of everyone on my table for the first time but stopped halfway. "What is Mahidol doing here?" I asked looking directly at Freen, who just kept quiet.
