« Tulin is way too cute. », I said, a bright smile on my face, looking for the hundredth time at the many pictures I took.
Link and I just came back from the hospital where we spent the last hours. Seeing Saki, Teba and their newborn baby made me feel way happier than expected and I forgot all the bad things that happened last night.
I didn't feel the stitches on my arms, I didn't think about Toruma and how he deeply wanted to make my life hell, I even forgot that I was sick and my treatment could possibly hurt me more than my disease if I didn't stop being clumsy or attacked by the Yiga Clan. All of these disappeared as soon as my eyes landed on the beautiful family in front of me.
I should tell them about my disease. Only Mipha, Paya and Impa know for it, but all of the band has to be aware of my condition. And I really want to talk about it with An. He is the only one who knows how it feels to have a chronic disease, a serious treatment and a regular follow-up.
But tonight wasn't the right moment to do so. Saki was tired and she was lost between the happiness of the birth of her son and the mourning of her dreamt family with Teba. It would have been selfish to talk about me while she had to be supported more than I did.
And we all wanted to focus on our Tulin. Our little Birdie we waited for so long.
« Yeah he is adorable. », Link said, still driving along the long roads of Hyrule Fields.
« I can't wait to see him at the dorms ! », I joyfully said. « Do you imagine ! The youngest college student ever ! »
« Indeed ! », Link laughed. « Speaking of the dorms, do you want to sleep there or to go back to the Mansion ? »
« I think we should go back to the dorms for a few days. », I said.
« For a few days ? »
« I mean, Saki will probably stay at the hospital for days and from what I saw, the frat house is in a pitiful state now the finals are over. », I explained. « There is nothing in the fridge, all of the rooms are dirty and I don't want Teba and Saki to clean the house and do everything here when they'll come back. I think Tulin will constantly need their attention so they won't have time to do the house chores. And even though they possibly find a slot, they would be too tired to do anything. »
« You're right. Let's go to the dorms ! », Link agreed and turned the blinker on as soon as he had to leave the main road to go to the highway.
I took my phone and sent a text to Father. I quickly told him that Saki just had her baby - with a picture of him in my arms with Link by my side - and we wanted to stay at the dorms for a few days to clean the house, cook for them and help the young parents a bit. Of course his answer didn't last long, and he said that Tulin was really cute, that he understood my point of view and it was kind of me to help them.
I had a look at the picture once more, and I smiled like a fool again.

« I can't believe he was still inside her belly a few hours ago... », I said in a low voice. « It's as incredible as scary ! »
« Way more scary than... beautiful. », Link corrected me.
Oh..?
« Why do you say that ? », I asked, a bit surprised by his reaction.
« I mean, haven't you heard what they said ? », he shrugged his shoulders, looking behind his shoulder before he passed by many cars. « About how she bled and all. »
