« Father ! », I exclaimed, as I recognized the tall white-haired man next to Saki.

A light smile was crossing his face, letting us know he wasn't bothered by the view of us together, but Link and I couldn't help feeling a bit ashamed.

« How long have you been there ? », I hastily asked, hoping he only came back a few minutes before.

Oh Hylia, I hope he didn't hear Link and I after we fell in the pool.

« I just came back twenty minutes ago. My last business dinner went well but ended pretty late at night. », he explained, and I was relieved he came that late. « But I wanted to see you before your departure. »

If I was already happy to see all of my friends tonight, the only dark cloud was Father's missing. So now everything was perfect.

« Oh Father ! », I exclaimed, holding him in my arms.

« I hope you like my surprise, dear. »

« Of course I do ! », I said, smiling like a fool. « It's perfect now you're here ! »

Link held Father's hand, greeting him with a smile and a polite 'Good evening, Dr. Bosphoramus.' before all of our friends joined us and introduced themselves to Father, thanking him once more for his hospitality and complimenting his amazing house.

Some of them were a bit shy in front of Father, and I could understand them. He was pretty impressive, and, sometimes, I was a bit scared of him too. So, for someone who never saw him in person... it should be terrible ! He was the first fortune of the world and his reputation was already made. And by reputation, I was talking about his public reputation – a shark in business, a ruthless leader who owned half of the world, praised by many other businessmen but also politicians – but also the little secrets I had told to my friends.

How he acted towards me. How he used to put so much pressure on my shoulders. How he used to control me. How he saw me as a failure and nothing else.

How he chased me when I desperately needed him.

If Bozai, Gesane, Sidon and An were a bit shy but very welcoming to Father, Mipha couldn't look him in the eyes until Father congratulated her for her results in the national swimming team. Of course her face was red like a tomato, but when he also thanked her for her dedication in med school and how she did her best to save Link's life, a sincere smile finally crossed her face and her hazel eyes weren't afraid to look at him anymore.

Then, Paya shyly introduced herself, and I was surprised to see that Father didn't forget she was the one who was coming with me to Athens. So, they talked a bit about what she wanted to do during our European trip and how he counted on her to have an eye on me.

Father... Father... Father...

But, the only one who was still cold to him was Revali.

He shook his hand, only saying a quick 'Good evening', his chin up and barely answering Father's questions. And, of course, Father noticed it.

I couldn't help feeling a bit ashamed by Revali's behavior, but I knew why he acted that way.

During the past months, we talked a lot about my life at the Mansion – mostly because he didn't understand why I was now living with Link, and why, despite the non-communication between Father and I, I was still nervous about my grades. So, as long as we were talking, I saw how Revali considered Father as an abuser and not a father, as he kept naming him 'The bastard who gave you half of his genes'.
