It was an exciting day . Chan’s school was putting on a play, and he had been cast as the lead. Everyone was buzzing with excitement and nervous energy, especially Chan, who had been practicing his lines non-stop for the past week.

The day began with the usual chaos. Hyunjin was running around trying to get Chan dressed in his costume, a tiny knight's outfit complete with a plastic sword and shield.

“Channie, hold still!” Hyunjin pleaded as she tried to tie his cape.

But Mom, I need to practice my sword fighting!” Chan exclaimed, waving his sword around wildly.

You can practice once we get to school. Now, stand still!” Hyunjin laughed kekekekekeke, managing to get the cape tied just in time before Chan darted off to practice his moves on Changbin.

Meanwhile, Seungmin and Minho were in the kitchen preparing breakfast. Yongbok was sitting at the table, munching on cereal and watching the chaos unfold.

“Do you think we should tell him that knights don’t usually fight with plastic spoons?” Seungmin asked, watching Chan duel with Changbin, who had grabbed a spoon to defend himself.

“Nah, let him have his fun,” Minho replied, chuckling.

Just as they were about to leave for school, there was a loud rip. Everyone turned to see Chan standing in the middle of the room, looking down in horror at his torn costume.

“My cape!” he wailed, tears welling up in his eyes.

Hyunjin rushed over, trying to calm him down. “It’s okay, Chan. We’ll fix it. Minho unnie, can you get the sewing kit?”

Minho quickly retrieved the sewing kit, and Hyunjin expertly mended the cape while Chan stood impatiently, fidgeting with his sword. Within minutes, the cape was as good as new.

At the school auditorium, the atmosphere was electric. Parents and children filled the seats, buzzing with anticipation. The family found their seats in the front row, eager to see Chan’s performance.

The curtains opened, and the play began. Chan, as the brave knight, took center stage. He delivered his lines with gusto, waving his plastic sword dramatically.

However, halfway through his big speech, Chan suddenly froze, his eyes wide with panic. He had forgotten his lines.

From the front row, Hyunjin mouthed the words to him, trying to help him remember. Chan, still panicking, blurted out, “Mom, I can’t see your lips from here!”

The audience erupted in laughter, and Chan, realizing he had made everyone laugh, regained his confidence. He ad-libbed the rest of his speech, throwing in a few jokes that had the audience in stitches.

The climax of the play involved a dramatic sword fight between Chan’s knight and the dragon, played by his best friend, eunwoo. As the two clashed plastic swords, it quickly became apparent that they were having way too much fun.

“Take that, dragon!” Chan yelled, giving eunwoo a playful shove. Eunwoo, not to be outdone, swung his tail (a long piece of fabric) and tripped over it, landing flat on his back.

The audience burst into applause and laughter as Chan helped eunwoo up. The two boys took a bow, basking in the glory of their comedic duel.

After the play ended, the cast gathered on stage for the curtain call. Chan, still riding high on the laughter and applause, waved enthusiastically to his family.

As they left the auditorium, the family couldn’t stop talking about the play. “You were amazing, Chan!” Han said, ruffling his hair.

“Yeah, you really saved the show,” Seungmin added, beaming with pride.

Chan grinned. “channie did what a brave knight would do.”

Back at home, the family threw a small party to celebrate Chan’s successful performance. There were snacks, games, and, of course, plenty of laughter. (They literally js need a chance to party man-)

Changbin, still holding a grudge from the morning’s sword fight, challenged Chan to a rematch. This time, armed with foam swords, the two battled it out in the living room, much to everyone’s amusement.

Yongbok, not wanting to be left out, grabbed a toy wand and declared herself the fairy princess. “I’ll make sure the knight wins!” she proclaimed, tapping Chan with her wand.
