It was a typical Monday morning in the household, which meant one thing: chaos. The family was scrambling to get the kids ready for their kindergarten, each member adding to the pandemonium in their unique way.
The day began with Hyunjin's alarm clock blaring at 6:00 AM. She groggily hit the snooze button and rolled over, only to realize she had accidentally set off the foghorn app on her phone. The entire house woke up to the sound of what seemed like a ship docking in their living room.
“What is that noise?!” Seungmin yelled from the other room, covering his ears with a pillow.
“Time to get up!” Hyunjin called out, trying to sound cheerful while shutting off the foghorn.
Hyunjin was trying to get Chan and Yongbok dressed.
“Chan, stop running around! I need to put on your shoes,” Hyunjin called out, chasing Chan around the living room.
“But Mom, I’m practicing my super-speed for school!” Chan declared, zooming past her.
Meanwhile, Seungmin was trying to get Yongbok to eat her cereal, but she was more interested in playing with her food.
“Yongbok, the cereal is for eating, not for building a tower,” Seungmin said, attempting to keep a straight face as she balanced another cereal ring on top of the wobbly tower she had made.
Changbin, ever the prankster, had swapped the syrup with soy sauce. As soon as Chan poured it onto his pancakes, he took one bite and spit it out in horror. “Who did this?!”
“Gotcha!” Changbin laughed, earning a playful smack on the arm from Hyunjin.
As the time to leave approached, the inevitable shoe hunt began. Shoes in their house had a mysterious way of disappearing.
“Has anyone seen Chan’s left shoe?” Minho called out, searching under the couch.
“I found it in the fridge!” Changbin announced, holding up the missing shoe triumphantly.
“Why was it in the fridge?” Han asked, laughing as he put on Chan’s shoe.
“I was cooling it down,” Chan said innocently, making everyone burst into laughter.
“Yongbok, stop putting everyone’s shoes in your toy box!” Hyunjin sighed, opening Yongbok’s toy chest to reveal a pile of mismatched footwear.
At the drop-off line, the family’s car was like a clown car, with kids spilling out in every direction.
Chan, excited for show-and-tell, tripped over his shoelaces and dropped his prized toy robot. It promptly broke into pieces, causing a small crisis.
“It’s okay, Chan, we’ll fix it after school,” Hyunjin assured him, quickly gluing the robot back together as best as she could.
“Bye, Mom! Bye, Dad!” Chan and yongbok yelled, running towards his classroom.
Once inside their classrooms, Chan and Yongbok’s adventures truly began. Chan's teacher, Ms. Park, was a patient woman, but even she was not prepared for the whirlwind that was Chan.
Ms. Park greeted the class. “Today, we’re going to learn about colors!”
Chan immediately raised his hand. “I know all the colors! Red, blue, green, and... um, dragon color!”
“What’s dragon color?” ms. Park asked.
“It’s when you mix all the colors together,” Chan explained confidently.
