Breakfast and chaos

The sun had just peeked over the horizon, casting a warm glow on the bustling household. Today was going to be another wild morning for the family.

As usual, chaos started early. Minho was already in the kitchen, preparing breakfast for everyone. Her three cats, Dori, Sooni, and Doongie, meowed loudly, demanding attention and breakfast. Minho sighed, "You three are worse than the kids!"(He would never say anything like this but rn he's a mother so...)

Seungmin walked in, still half-asleep, rubbing his eyes. "Morning, love," he said with a yawn, giving Minho a quick peck on the cheek.

"Morning, Seungmin. Can you help with the coffee? I need to finish these pancakes before everyone wakes up and starts World War III," Minho replied, flipping a pancake expertly.

Seungmin nodded, fumbling with the coffee machine. Just then, Han and Hyunjin walked in, bickering as usual. Han, trying to look innocent, asked, "Why are you always so dramatic in the morning, Hyunjin?"

Hyunjin shot him a glare. "Maybe because I have to deal with you first thing every day," she snapped, though there was a hint of a smile on her lips.

Minho chuckled. "You two are worse than my cats," she said, handing Seungmin a plate of pancakes.

"Hey, Minho," Han said, winking. "Maybe you should come over and teach me how to make those pancakes sometime."

Hyunjin rolled her eyes. "Keep dreaming, Han. And stop flirting with Minho."

Han held up his hands defensively. "I'm just being friendly!"

Suddenly, there was a loud crash. Chan and Changbin had burst into the kitchen, wrestling over a toy. "Moooom! Changbin took my toy!" Chan wailed, tears in his eyes.

Changbin scowled. "I did not! You gave it to me!"

Minho sighed. "Boys, can't we have one peaceful morning? Just one?"

Hyunjin stepped in, her voice firm. "Changbin, give the toy back to Chan. And Chan, stop crying. You're five years old now, act like it."

"I'm foive!" Chan protested, still pouting.

Seungmin handed him a pancake to distract him. "Here, Channie. Eat this, it'll make you feel better."

Just then, Yongbok walked in, looking sleepy but already exuding her usual sass. "What's with all the noise? Can't a girl get some sleep around here?"

"Good morning, sunshine," Seungmin greeted her, ruffling her hair.

Yongbok wrinkled her nose. "Dad, stop it. You're messing up my hair."

Minho laughed. "You're just like your father. Always worried about appearances."

Yongbok ignored the comment and sat down at the table. "Is there any milk left?"

Seungmin handed her a glass. "Here you go, sweetheart."

"Thanks, Dad," she said, taking a sip. "Chan, you wanna trade pancakes?"

Chan, with his mouth full, shook his head. "No. Channie likes his pancake."

Minho raised an eyebrow. "Yongbok, why do you always want what your brother has?"

Yongbok shrugged. "Because his looks better."

Han and Hyunjin exchanged amused looks. "Kids these days," Hyunjin said with a sigh. "They always want what they can't have."(Real!)

Innie, already seated at the table and scrolling through her phone, looked up with a smirk. "Hey, if anyone wants to trade their pancakes for my donut, speak now or forever hold your peace."

Changbin's face lit up. "I'll trade!"

Innie grinned. "That's what I thought. Come here, Binnie."

Breakfast continued with the usual mix of chaos and laughter. Minho finally managed to get everyone seated and eating. Seungmin poured coffee for the adults, while the kids devoured their pancakes and donuts.

"So, what's everyone doing today?" Minho asked, trying to steer the conversation.

"Work," Hyunjin said with a sigh. "And dealing with Han, as usual."

Han pouted. "I'm not that bad."

Seungmin chuckled. "Sure, you're not. What about you, Innie?"

"I'm off today. Thought I'd spend some time with Changbin, if that's okay with you, hyunie," Innie said, glancing at hyunjin

Hyunjin smiled. "Of course. As long as he behaves."

Changbin grinned. "I'll be good, I promise!"

After breakfast, everyone went their separate ways. Minho and Seungmin cleaned up the kitchen, while Han and Hyunjin bickered over who would do the dishes.

"You're doing them," Hyunjin insisted.

"Why me?" Han whined. "I did them last time!"

"Because I said so," Hyunjin replied, giving him a look that brooked no argument.

Han sighed. "Fine, but you owe me."

Minho shook her head, laughing. "You two are like an old married couple."

"We are an old married couple," Han pointed out, rolling his eyes.

Innie and Changbin decided to take a walk, enjoying the morning sunshine. As they walked, Changbin looked at Innie, a mischievous glint in his eye. "So, Innie, what are we doing today?"

"Just hanging out," Innie replied. "And maybe getting into some trouble."

Changbin grinned. "I like the sound of that."

Back at the house, Yongbok and Chan were playing with their toys, their earlier argument forgotten. Seungmin watched them, smiling. "They may fight a lot, but they really do love each other," he said to Minho.

Minho nodded. "Yeah, they do. Just like us."

Seungmin leaned in and kissed her cheek. "Exactly like us."

The rest of the day passed with more arguments, more laughter, and more chaos, but through it all, there was love and a sense of family.

(QOTD: what's your favourite breakfast?)Btw my teacher once told us that we should eat a lot and as much as we can in morning because at that time our digestion process is the fastest and we can actually skip dinner but not breakfast!
