For a moment, I completely forgot we were enemies. I pushed myself off the wall and sighed. "No need to use violence, buddy," I said. Ace rolled his eyes. "Not like I actually want to save someone like you, I just think that guy needs to learn some manners," he said. I huffed and looked away, feeling a little disappointed. No, Autumn, he's your enemy, not your knight-in-shining armor.

"Ace... I need a favor," I said. He leaned against the wall and stared at me, his expression unreadable. I took a deep breath. "So... I accidentally told my parents we're dating and I need you to fake date me," I said nervously. For a second, he stopped, then burst out laughing.

"Okay, Autumn, tell me you're joking," he said, still chuckling. "Dude, I'm not lying," I replied. Ace immediately stopped laughing. "Why the hell would you do that?!" he exclaimed angrily. "I don't know, okay?" I said. "I guess I was just freaking out because I didn't kiss you at the party and now Zoe says boys will want to date me to one-up you and—"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, what? You're still hung up about that party?" he interrupted. "Yes, I know it's stupid but..." I started, sighing. "I'm done with all this drama with these boys and even you. Can you just do this, please?" Ace stared at me, deep in thought. "But, Autumn, you started the drama—" "Yeah, I know, I'm tired of hearing that," I said. "So? Will you do it?" Ace stayed quiet, then nodded.

"Fine. But what's in it for me?" he asked. "I'll let you beat up Barry," I said, sighing. "Deal," he said, grinning. Later, when I got home, I found Aria sitting on the couch. She looked up, and her face lit up. "Hey, where's Ace?" she asked. "Coming soon," I said.

"Where are Mom and Dad?" "They went out, thought it would be a good idea to have a date." I nodded and headed upstairs. As I lay in bed, I heard a small tap on my window. I furrowed my brows, got up, and opened my window. There stood Ace. "Sup," he said, smirking.

"Ugh, I forgot I was fake-dating you," I said. "Come on, let's sneak out or something," he said. "I can't, Mom and Dad will be furious if they find out," I said. He rolled his eyes, then pulled me out the window. "Don't be such a baby," he said, walking while holding my hand. I glanced up at my house and saw Aria there, waving and smirking from her room. I rolled my eyes and convinced myself this wasn't going to be fun. But something inside me said this was going to be the best night of my life.
