Once I got back home, Aria was already waiting for me. "Where have you been?" she asked, crossing her arms angrily.

"Well... um... I had a little... sleepover with... Ace," I muttered.

"WHAT?!" Aria screamed. "Tell me everything, right now!"

I told Aria everything about how I wasn't thinking when I kissed him and how, for some reason, I was addicted to him. After I finished, Aria just stood there, dumfounded.

"So let's get this straight. You kissed Ace? Your sworn enemy?" she said. I blushed.

"Oh my gosh, when will you ever take a break from boys?" she sighed, sitting down.

I glared at her.

"Not my fault I liked him. It was like something inside of me snapped, so I just... leaned into his kiss," I said, flopping down next to her. We sat in silence for a few minutes before she spoke up.

"You guys used to date, right?" she asked. I nodded.

"And you were really, really mad at him when he cheated, right?" she said. I nodded again.

"And he said that he didn't really like how you looked anyway, right?" she asked. I nodded.

"So then... if he didn't like how you looked, why did he all of a sudden like you again?" she asked. My heart stopped for a second. She was right. Why had he started liking me again? He called me "mid," ugly, and not good for him. So then... why was he saying I kissed well and that I was pretty? Something was definitely up.

"Well... maybe he realized that he was wrong?" I said. Aria sighed.

"It's just a guess, but you have to be a little bit careful with him, okay?" she said, getting up and walking into her room. I sighed and looked up at the ceiling.

Oh, Ace, please don't break my heart again.
