Ace just stared at me, his eyes still wide. "You were talking about her, right?" the man said, giving me a little shove forward. "She's Cupcake, right?" Ace glared at him while I stood there in shock. Cupcake?! "Cup...cake?" I said. Ace turned red. Aria was totally loving every second of this. "He has a nickname for you," she whispered, giggling. But I wasn't listening to her. I was thinking about that nickname.

He always used to call me that while we were dating. Until we broke up. And now he decides to use the damn nickname again. Ace then grabbed my hand and led me into a random room, closing the door and locking it. "Look, I can explain—"

"Why the hell would you just use that nickname like that?!" I yelled.

"Don't go yelling at me like that! Why the hell did you follow me?" he shot back. I immediately stopped talking. "Um... well..." I started. "It was... Aria." Ace looked confused. "Why would she want you to follow me?" he asked. My heart started pounding. "'Cause... I've been avoiding you," I said, sighing.

"Why have you been avoiding me?" he asked, sounding concerned. I didn't want to tell him that I kind of liked it when he was holding me in bed, or else all hell would break loose. "None of your business," I said. Ace groaned angrily. "Look, I'm just trying to help you with whatever's going on," he replied. I scoffed. "I don't need your help. I can deal with it alone, okay?"

"You've always said no when I asked for help, Autumn," he said.

"Yeah, because whenever you try to help, everything goes wrong," I snapped.

"What is wrong with you? I'm trying my best not to fucking yell at you right now," he said, gritting his teeth.

"You always used to do that when we were dating," I muttered.

Ace glared at me. "Don't you dare mention us dating," he warned.

"I can if I want, Ace. You were nothing but rude and idiotic. And then to just go ahead and cheat on me like that? How could you?" I shot back.

"I don't have to explain myself to you. Now just get out," he said.

Instead of leaving, I sat down on the floor and smirked. "How about... no," I replied.

"Get. Up," he ordered.

"No," I said defiantly.

Ace glared at me. "Stop being such an idiot. Just get up," he demanded.

"No," I repeated.

"Dammit, why won't you just get up—" He suddenly tripped over me and ended up on the floor, on top of me.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" I yelled, despite feeling a little bit... happy?

"This just got awkward so quickly," he said.

"Just... get off me," I said.

We both got up and sat in silence, my heart still racing. "You did that on purpose," I accused.

He chuckled. "Maybe I did, Cupcake."
