Once we left the room, we heard yells and screams from inside. "What the hell is happening in there?" I asked Ace, confused. Ace started to look a little pale. "Fuck," he muttered. "What? What is it, Ace? What's happening inside?" I asked. "We have to go there, now," he said, grabbing my hand and running. I was so confused as we ran, wondering what the hell was happening inside. Suddenly, we heard a loud scream that sounded a lot like Aria's. My heart dropped to my stomach.
"Hey, knock it off!" Ace yelled as we made our way inside a large room with boxing gloves and a big boxing ring. I saw Aria there, bruised and bleeding. Concern surged through my body, and I quickly ran over to Aria and knelt down, studying her. "Aria, are you okay?" I asked. She didn't reply, only cried.
I glared at the men who were beating her up. "You guys need mental help," I said, anger evident in my voice. Ace sighed and turned to the men. "You promised not to do that anymore, guys. What is wrong with you?" he said. They all just snickered and smirked at us. "It's not funny!" Ace yelled. They all immediately stopped laughing. I looked at Ace, feeling a little bit angry at him too.
"We're going home. I'll make sure she's okay," I said, letting Aria lean on me for support. "Autumn, wait—" We left quickly, and I didn't even turn back to look at him. I was just filled with so much anger. "Autumn, it's fine," Aria said. "I'm okay—" "No, Aria, you aren't okay. Stop acting like you are to make me feel better," I said angrily. She fell silent after that, and we came home, only to find Mom and Dad waiting for us, visibly angry. "Do you have anything to say to us?" they asked, glaring at us. I took a deep breath. "Yeah... Aria needs bandages."
