**Chapter 11: Boundaries and Business**

*Francesca's P.O.V.*

The previous night had been a whirlwind. Just as I was about to fall asleep, my phone buzzed. It was Xander.

"Hello?" I answered, my voice groggy.

"Hey, Francesca," he said, his tone playful. "I hope I'm not disturbing your beauty sleep."

"Very funny, Xander. What do you want?"

"I need you to be ready by 6 AM tomorrow. We have an impromptu business meeting in Thailand to close an important deal."

"Thailand? Are you serious?"

"Dead serious," he replied. "I'll pick you up. Don't be late."

"Fine," I sighed. "See you at 6."

"And Francesca," he added, "I'm looking forward to seeing you in the morning."

---

The next morning, Xander arrived at 6 AM sharp. I was tired but ready, dressed in a professional yet stylish outfit suitable for the meeting. We boarded the company jet, and after a few hours, we landed in Bangkok.

The meeting was at a luxurious hotel. As we entered the conference room, I felt the weight of the deal hanging in the air. Xander was all business, but there was an underlying tension between us from the previous night.

The meeting progressed smoothly until one of the directors, Mr. Somchai, tried to touch me inappropriately. His hand brushed against my thigh, and I froze.

Xander noticed immediately. "Get your hands off her," he growled, standing up and glaring at Mr. Somchai.

"Relax, Xander," I whispered, trying to calm him down.

But Xander wasn't having it. "If you ever touch her again, I will blacklist your company from every major deal in this region. And for the record, Francesca is off limits to everyone here."

The room fell silent. Mr. Somchai paled and quickly removed his hand, muttering apologies. The meeting continued, albeit tensely, and eventually, the deal was signed.

---

Back at the hotel suite, I confronted Xander. "That was not necessary, Xander. You overreacted."

"I was protecting you," he said, his eyes flashing with anger.

"I can handle myself. You didn't need to make a scene."

His expression darkened. "Is that so?" He roughly pushed me against the wall and kissed me fiercely. I gasped, my hands instinctively going to his chest.

He pushed me towards the desk, his lips never leaving mine. Just as things were getting intense, there was a knock on the door. We both regained our composure quickly.

Xander adjusted his tie and I smoothed my skirt. He gave me one last kiss on the lips before opening the door to a hotel staff member delivering documents.

"Thank you," he said curtly, taking the papers and closing the door.

As soon as we were alone again, I turned to him. "We need to talk about this, Xander. This...whatever it is between us...it's complicating things."

"Maybe," he said, stepping closer. "But I can't stop thinking about you, and I don't want to."

His words sent a thrill through me, but I knew we needed boundaries. "We'll figure it out," I said softly. "But right now, we need to focus on work."

"Agreed," he replied, his eyes lingering on me a moment longer before he turned back to the documents.

As I left the room, I couldn't help but feel a mix of confusion and excitement. The lines between professional and personal were blurring faster than I could manage, and I had no idea where this would lead.
