**Chapter 13: Claiming What's Mine**

*Xander's P.O.V.*

I gave orders swiftly, my mind racing. The scandal broke faster than I anticipated, and now Francesca's reputation was at stake. This was supposed to be a celebration, not a disaster. As I glanced at her sitting numb, staring outside while playing with her fingers, a surge of protectiveness washed over me. I needed to shield her from this chaos.

As we arrived at the hotel, I placed my hand on her waist, guiding her to her room. "Pack your things. We're leaving now," I instructed. I called for the private jet, which was thankfully on standby.

Francesca sat on the bed, her eyes distant. I knelt beside her, taking her hands in mine. "Francesca, I've grown to know you, and I want to be with you. I will destroy and rebuild everything for you."

She looked at me, her eyes searching. "Xander, we've known each other for just two months."

"It's more than enough time for me to know I want you to be mine," I said firmly.

"Everything is happening so fast," she murmured. "I need time to process it."

"Time or not, you are mine. Nobody can take you away from me—not even you," I declared, my voice unwavering. I kissed her passionately, holding her close. "You're mine," I whispered against her lips.

She kissed me back, and for a moment, everything else faded away. My phone buzzed, interrupting the moment. "Everything is ready for takeoff," the voice on the other end informed me.

I kissed her forehead gently. "Finish packing up. We need to go."

---

As Francesca packed her things, my mind raced with thoughts of her. This situation was volatile, and I needed to take control. I had to protect her, even if it meant being possessive. She was mine, and I wouldn't let anything or anyone come between us.

When she was ready, we headed to the airport. The private jet awaited us, a sanctuary away from the prying eyes of the media. Once on board, Francesca seemed to relax slightly, though the tension was still palpable.

As the jet took off, I couldn't help but think about the future. Francesca and I had a connection that was undeniable, and I was determined to make it last. She needed time, and I would give her that, but I also needed her to understand that she was mine. This bond between us was something I wasn't willing to let go of.

---

After settling into the flight, I turned to Francesca. "We'll handle this together. No matter what comes our way, we'll face it as a team."

She nodded, her eyes reflecting a mix of fear and determination. "I trust you, Xander."

Her words meant everything to me. I leaned in and kissed her gently. "Rest now. We have a long journey ahead."

As she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep, I sat back, my mind still racing. This wasn't just about protecting her from a scandal; it was about claiming her as mine and ensuring that no one could ever tear us apart. The road ahead was uncertain, but one thing was clear—Francesca was mine, and I would do whatever it took to keep her by my side.
