**Chapter: Frankie's Resolve**

*Frankie's P.O.V.*

Thinking back to how i came across the Vespers , It's not that I don't have the qualifications for a good, well-paid job—I have a first-class degree in business and finance. I just love Vespr Coffeebar and Mr. and Mrs. Vespr. They've been so good to me since I was 18 years old. They helped raise me, and I know I can never repay their kindness, so I work here.

"You know you can work at a big, well-paid company," Danny Vespr said.

"No, I can't leave you guys. You're all I have."

"But honey, we won't be around forever. But if you insist..."

"I insist. Can we drop this topic, please?"

With a big smile and an okay from them, they dropped the topic.

Snapping out of my thoughts, I looked up to see Jane coming back. No offense, she's my friend, but she's too flirtatious for my liking. "So how did it go with Mr. Hotty?" I asked.

"You mean Mr. Grumpy, and he demands you take his order."

Walking to the table, I looked up to see a man who looked like a Greek god. Without realizing it, I was staring.

"Emmm," he cleared his throat.

"Can I take your order?" I politely asked.

"I would like to talk to you, please."

"Sir, I'm doing my job. I cannot sit down," I said, irritated.

"Well, we wouldn't want everyone to know who the mysterious Omega193 is, now would we?" he said, smirking.

I sat down, feeling like ice cold water had been poured over me.

"How...when...who..." Before I could finish my sentence, he arrogantly said, "I am Xander Williams. I know everything."

His phone started ringing, and he mentioned we would talk later and how important it was. I was shocked and overwhelmed but shook the feeling away and moved to the next order.

After finishing my shift, I took my belongings and headed out. Close to the cafe, there was a dark alley. Walking by, I saw a shadow leaning against the wall. Looking closely, I saw him—the devil himself, Xander Williams—and his latest Ferrari nearby. Before I realized how close he had gotten, I found myself trapped with no way to escape.

"What do you want now?" I shouted.

"So, where were we? Ah, yes, don't write trash about me," he said arrogantly.

"Or what?" I demanded. His eyes darkened with a devilish smirk.

"Haven't you been taught that when you play with fire, you get burned?" He pushed me against the wall and caged me. I hung my head down. Raising my head with his hand, he said, "Do you know who you're messing with, girl?"

I nodded slightly, whispering a yes.

"I doubt you know who you're messing with, love."

With that, he left and entered his car, zooming off and leaving me wondering what the hell had just happened and what game he was playing.

I can't believe that bastard Xander. Who does he think he is? Just watch and see who wins this game.
