SOCIAL GATHERING is something that Ningyi often avoids especially when it comes to team dinner that includes alcohol and drinking whole night. Rather than spending the whole night drinking and eating, she'd rather go back home and have a small self-care session before jumping into the blanket and start her Netflix marathon but not everyday is a lucky day for her.

She often skipped team dinner and everyone knew that she doesn't like to join the dinner as she wasn't an alcoholic person but today was exception because her boss decided to treat everyone for a dinner after the successful updating the new game and boosting the users.

In order to commemorate such occasions, everyone were invited and Ningyi? her team manager even asked her to join the team dinner because she played a huge part in it so ─── here she is, basically chewing on the lettuce as she wait for the meat to be cooked.

Ningyi decided to sit at the corner where no attention will be gained so that she could slip away later on easily which always worked everytime she was invited for such dinner but, not today.

The higher up members came to her and clicked their glass as they finished a shot of the alcohol and praised her for her skills despite being a newbie. The whole cycle repeated one after another eventually making the Lan girl drunk with her face warming up and eyes puffed up as if she had been bawling her eyes out.

Seeing the meat was cooked, she wrapped it in the lettuce and added some side dish and ate it as she supported her head with her hand in order to not accidentally hit her head on the table. She could barely function properly so all she could do was sit on the chair and eat. Ningyi couldn't even remember how many shots she drank today because the elders keep coming one after another and cheered for her which was a great thing but on the other side, she was basically dying.

She couldn't reject those people since they were her senior and if she refused, she might come off rude so ─── she ended up making herself drunk. Everyone in the room were drunk and some other workers who had high alcohol tolerance were still going on.

"Xiao-Yi, are you sure you can stay awake?"

Ningyi made herself another lettuce wrap and looked at her team leader who looked concerned but her visions were blurry. She looked around and saw that everyone was still there, she let out a deep sigh and looked at her leader "Xinyu-jie, I'll just sleep here for a while and before you go please wake me up. I might sober up a little"

The team leader watched Ningyi gulping down the last drop of the alcohol on her glass and immediately falling asleep on the table. She felt bad for Ningyi but knowing that if she is not present today, it might offend the senior members. All she could do was keep and eye on her from time to time though she was already drunk.

Everyone in the hall was leaving one after another and in a blink of an eye, the restaurant was already empty but Ningyi was still at the corner, sleeping with her hair covering her face ─── forgotten by her drunk team leader who had to rush home after a call came from her kid's caretaker.

The hall was already empty yet the smell of the barbecue was still lingering around but nothing could wake Ningyi up because she was drunk and on top of that, she was sleeping peacefully. There were few waitress who came in and started cleaning up the hall but didn't mind to disturb the girl at the corner to give her some more time to sleep.

Meanwhile, Jiaxu finally managed to let the board director get inside the taxi after a huge chaos and seeing the taxi left, he let out a huge sigh of relief. He glanced at his wrist watch and saw that it was already 10pm. He tried to take out his car key from his pocket but, he couldn't find them.

"Did I left it inside?"

He sighed and walked back to the hall and apologised to the waitress who were cleaning up and head towards his table where he found his key and his blazer.

"Got it ─── ?"

His gaze fell on the person who was sleeping at the table. The sound of metal crashing each other didn't seem to wake her up. He knew that it would be one of the employees but as far as he remembered, everyone left. It piqued his interest so he approached the person and slowly tapped on the shoulder.

"Miss ─── eh? Xiao-Yi??"

Jiaxu never expected the person to be Ningyi because he noticed that Ningyi would sneak out in between the dinner and leave without drinking but today? It was surprising to see her being drunk and sleeping here.

"Xiao-Yi, wake up. It's time to go home"

But it seems like the girl won't budge at all. Jiaxu stood there helpless and slowly removed the hair covering her face revealing a flushed cheeks which was probably due to the alcohol but he couldn't really smell alcohol from here.

Maybe she was low tolerance.

He slowly tapped her arms for few more seconds until the girl moved.

"Ah?"

Her voice was hoarse and she squint her eyes as she looked around the hall, trying to adjust her visions to the brightness after sleeping for so long "Where is everyone?"

Her words sounded like a gibberish to Jiaxu, he couldn't help but laugh at her cute drunk appearance which caught Ningyi's attention.

"Am I dreaming or am I seeing my dream prince in real life?"

Jiaxu's eyebrows furrowed and a smirk replaced his face and sat infront of the girl "It's a dream Xiao-Yi... Who is your dream prince?"

Ningyi eyes went wide before she hide her face in her palm and giggled like a small kid "You. Duan Jiaxu. My boss"

She knew damn well that she will regret her entire existence tomorrow.
