Sam sat in his room, alone after being cleaned up by Faith Seed. He needed the peace after all the craziness. He was soon expecting his coach, Michael Voss and his captain and teammate, Patrick Cripps. He didn't know how they were going to respond but from what Jesse told him, Vossy wasn't upset or disappointed but worried for Walshy.

An hour later, he finally heard the knock on the door, the sound he was dreading the whole time. He stood up, sighing and walked over to the door, opening it. Sure enough, there was Vossy and Cripps.

"Worpa! You look like shit" Patrick Cripps said, walking in with his coach and taking a seat on the sofa.

"I'm fine" Sam said, sitting across them on a chair.

"What happened man?" Vossy asked.

Sam stayed silent for a short moment, looking down at the ground.

"Motz said you met a girl and had some issues with her fiancé" Vossy said, looking at his best midfielder with a raised eyebrow.

"It's a complicated story actually" Walshy said, looking at his coach.

"What are you doing running around an engaged woman in the first place?" Vossy started questioning him.

"She caught my eyes the moment I laid eyes on her. She's engaged but not by choice" Sam slowly explained.

"And that gave you the right to try and take her away from another man?" Vossy asked, crossing his arms.

"I'm trying to save her" Walsh said.

"By jeopardising your AFL career and character! You know there are eyes all over this ship. I'm 100% certain that people recognise you Sam. Any one of them would be hoping to catch you or the other boys in something they can report all over social media. You don't need that. Certainly not for a girl" Vossy said, sighing and rubbing his temple.

Sam looked at his captain, making eye contact while Vossy had his eyes closed. "I love her" he said to Patrick.

Crippa looked between his coach and teammate, before finally saying something. "Vossy is right mate. We chose this life of being in the limelight's when we signed up to play AFL".

"I know that but..." Sam was saying before being cut off by Vossy.

"I'm telling you this not only as your coach but as a father figure Sam, it's not worth jeopardising your life and career for a girl you've only met a few weeks ago. Of all your teammates, I'd thought you'd be a lot smarter" Vossy said, continuously cutting Sam off each time he wanted to say something. "Look, all I'm saying is this ship arrives back in Melbourne in a few days time. She's going to end up getting off the ship with her fiancé and you getting off with a ruined reputation. There is no guarantee that you'll ever see her again after all this".

"Just think about it Worpa. Vossy is right. You know we will always support you but we don't want to see you go downhill either" Patrick said, agreeing with his coach. "To make things easier, fly back with us tomorrow morning and get away from this mess".

Sam looked down, actually considering  Patrick's idea. He thought that they could be right, he may never see Ava again after getting off the cruise in a few days.

"Yeah. Okay" Sam responded.

"Great. Then get some sleep and try not to get seen like this until we leave tomorrow morning" Vossy said, standing up with Patrick Cripps. "See you in the morning Worpa".

Sam went onto his bed, sighing sadly about having to leave Ava on the ship but in some ways, he was comfortable to know her brothers were here with her. He was bought out of his thoughts when he heard another knock on his door. He got up, going to the door and opening it. His heart sunk the moment he locked eyes on Ava.

"H-hi" she greeted him with a small smile. "How are you feeling?".

"I'm okay. Come in" he moved to the side for Ava to walk in. "I'm glad you came. I had to talk with you".

"Oh really? Everything is okay?" She asked, standing in the middle of the room, looking at Sam.

"Umm.. yeah. My coach and captain just came and left" Sam informed her.

"How did they take all of it?" Ava asked.

"They were chill about it but... I have to leave with them tomorrow" he informed, looking into her eyes.

Ava became silent immediately, a choking feeling sensation in her throat. Her eyes slowly filled with tears, as she looked down.

"Ava.. I want to stay but a coach's order is a serious order" he said, approaching her and grabbing her hand.

Ava immediately moved her hand away from him, moving a step back. "I get it. It's fine. I'm not mad" she put a fake smile on her face. "Well.. thank you for everything Sam" she said, as she walked past him.

He grabbed her arm, turning around only to be met with a slap across the face. He looked at her, seeing her tears flow out of her eyes.

"Why didn't you just let me go from the moment I told you too?! Why now Sam?!" She yelled at him, pushing his back. "You should have let me be before promising me shit!".

"Ava.."

"Fuck you Sam!" She yelled one last time, breathing heavily while looking at him. "Good luck with your football career".

She turned to leave his room but Sam grabbed her again, pulling her into his arms and kissing her passionately. She put her arms around him, holding him tightly as they kissed and embraced each other.

Sam soon pulled away, looking into her eyes. "I wouldn't leave you if I wasn't comfortable with the fact that your brothers are here but I promise you Ava. The day this ship docks in Melbourne, I'll be there waiting for you. I promise you".

Ava nodded her head, smiling a little more now. They locked lips again, getting a little more intimate with each other. Sam closed the light to his room, while they both got undressed and under the covers for a special moment.
