(Sam Walsh & Ava Seed
It was evening and the cruise ship had finally departed and on its way for a fun journey. Sam and the boys were in the busy restaurant, ordering their foods and drinks. After ordering, Sam looked around the bush restaurant to see if he could spot the girl he laid eyes on this afternoon. He grabbed the glass of water, continuing to look around but gave up once the drinks arrived.
"What you looking at Worpa?" Elijah asked, looking to see what Sam was looking at.
"Nah, nothing mate. Just checking the crowd" Sam replied, grabbing his beer when he looked up and saw the girl walk through the restaurant doors. His heart immediately skipped a beat as he took a sip of his beer while watching her.
Ava looked around the busy restaurant and her eyes immediately locked onto Sam's eyes. She couldn't believe she saw him again but then remembered that Daniel was standing behind her, so she looked away quickly. Her heart was rushing and she was getting a hot flash but she had to remain calm. She followed her parents and Daniel to their table, which happened to be a bit close to where Sam was sitting.
Sam noticed Daniel and immediately understood that this girl he was having these feelings for, was taken by a man already. His heart stopped rushing and he became a little strange about it all. He went back to eating and drinking, trying to keep his focus on his mates then a taken girl.
"You alright? Your face just changed" Matt Owies asked, seeing his mate become quiet.
"Y-yeah. I'm all good" Sam smirked, finishing his food. He gave a small glance towards Ava, trying to act normal in front of his friends.
Ava watched her parents and Daniel talk, looking out the window. She could feel some sort of eyes on her, which made her turn and look at Sam. Sure enough, his eyes were on her and now her eyes were on him.
Sam gave her a small smile, which made her feel butterflies flutter inside her stomach. She smiled back but then looked away, not wanting Daniel to catch her looking at another man, especially after their exchange this afternoon. Sam looked away as well, then continued to chat with his mates.
A waiter approached Ava's table and everyone ordered their drinks and foods. Ava looked at Sam quickly, before looking at Daniel.
"I need to use the toilet. Is that okay?" She asked her fiancé.
"Yeah. Go for it" he smiled at her.
Ava slowly got up, going to the bathroom. Sam saw this and excused himself from the table as well. He went to the men's bathroom, using the toilet before washing his hands and waiting outside for Ava. He stood against the wall, looking at the door to make sure no one came into the hallway as he waited.
About two minutes later, Ava walked out of the bathroom and stopped in her track when she saw Sam stand against the wall. Sam turned his head and saw Ava standing there. He stood up straight and smiled, putting his hands in his pocket.
Ava smiled back, then approached him. "H-hi" she greeted him.
"Hi" Sam responded back with a smile on his face. "Umm. I'm Sam. Sam Walsh".
"I know who you are. I'm a big Carlton supporter" Ava blushed slightly. "I'm Ava Seed".
Sam put his hand out to her, which she grabbed and shook his hand.
"Nice to meet you" Sam said, feeling his heart beat fast again. There was silence between them for a moment, before Ava looked at him.
"I should get back before my parents and fiancé start looking for me" Ava said, feeling slightly down every time she remembered them.
"You're engaged.. ahh... congratulations" Sam said, his smile slightly disappearing.
"Yeah but not by choice" she said.
Sam looked at her, understanding what she meant by that. He immediately knew that there might be some hope if she truly didn't love her fiancé.
"See you around" she said, before leaving and going back to her table.
Sam returned to his table as well, looking at Ava then back at his mates. After their drinks, the boys all got up and left the restaurant, Ava watching Sam from behind.
