~Reader’s POV~
It was the day after the ball and I was free to have a the day to myself so I decided to go to the Library and get a new stack of books for my room, I was doing anything to take my mind off of the whirlwind of what last night was. It was making me go crazy. Once I had made it to the Library of course Loki was there I don't know why I expected him to be elsewhere, I didn't know what to say or do so I entered and made my way to the forst bookshelf looking for a book that I hadn't read yet. The tension was extremely thick in here as we both stood looking over the bookshelves, it was easy to tell neither of us wanted to discuss anything. I pick up a book and placing it down to start creating my pile, I go and pick up another book to place it in the pile. I go to take another before getting stopped by his voice.
"How is your foot?" I snap back into what I was doing by collecting the book.
"The dancing didn't help, but it is fine." Nothing else is said before he is stood right beside me holding a book.
"May I help you?" He looks down at me presenting me the book.
"Try reading this book, it's about a stubborn girl who always expects to get her way. I won't spoil the main plot though, just thought might make you feel at home." I scowl and shake my head.
"Nope, don't want the book thanks."
"Take the book." I look him dead in the eyes as he holds the book.
"I'm all good, why would I want a book about a misunderstood girl and a prick. I already live it." He nods.
"Yes you do, but this ends differently." And with that it happened again. We dropped our books and his hands grabbed my waist yet again except this time he had me up against the bookcase behind, it was forceful and a build up from last night. It was confusing for me, to hate a person so much and have them hate you back but at the same time they're just everywhere you are and you never hate that. I don't hate when his hands touch my skin. I don't hate when his cold blood contrasts with mine. I don't hate that his aura is so intoxicatingly powerful. I don't hate that hates me. What I do hate is that he's infuriatingly confusing. After a moment of tantalising force against the bookcase I push against his chest and he pulls away, I look down and shake my head.
"This is confusing. We can't just hate and argue then do this."
"Why not? It's working well I'd say." I give him a disbelieved look.
"I will never care about you but this is good for me. I can't explain why." I continue to look at him like he was ridiculous but then again something about what he said made sense and felt the same for me.
"So we fight, argue and kiss? That's it?" He nods.
"I think that's the only thing that's made sense coming out of your mouth." And with that he kissed me again.
It had been a few days and whenever we were around one another it was always a fight which turned into a make out session, it confused me beyond believe but it worked for us. It was 5 and a bit weeks from the wedding and everyone was still skeptical over whether us two would work but right now our system wormed for us and I wasn't feeling as lonely anymore because of it.
"Lady Y/n!" I was currently in the gardens reading since I wanted a change of scenery when Thor had called my name to which I stood up to face him.
"Yes?" He gives me a sincere smile.
"Sorry, but mother has requested you start training now and official wedding preparations. She is waiting for you in the banquet hall." I sigh.
"Alright Thor, thank you. Tell her I will be there soon." He nods and heads back off, Jane had gone back to Midgard a day or two ago so it was a little more lonely. As I grabbed my book I turned to see Loki stood there making me jump.
