~Reader’s POV~
It was 4 weeks until the wedding, just one final month to go and everything was too much. Not only did I have to organise the wedding but I had to be trained as a princess and give input to how the crowning ceremony will take place after our wedding ceremony.
I had been non-stop with the queen for the past week and a bit, doing anything and everything to do with one of those three things. She kept trying to book in dress trials for me in the boutique but I wasn't ready for that whole shindig, not right now.
Me and Loki were pretty much the same except without the making out sessions, after that one time on the morning we first woke up with one another I think both of us have kept our distance in that area of things.
"Y/n!" I snap out of my daze and turn to the queen with a smile.
"Sorry, I was distracted." She nods and turns back to the table in the banquet hall.
"Now, these are your options for place settings for the table." I look at the options having liked none of them.
"Can we not just put the table like a buffet table with chairs dotted throughout the room, not bother with a large table or dinner?" She gives me an incredulous look.
"We could but that is very informal for a party such as this." I shrug my shoulders.
"I'm in informal kind of gal and-"
"Isn't it a big party anyway?" Loki's voice fills the room, every so often be would show up make a few comments and leave. I knew it was purely to make sure his mother did not completely take the reins, it was almost comforting.
"Yes but it is still informal, this is a royal wedding and crowning ceremony we must make it absolutely perfect." I look down at my hands realising she was right.
"Absolutely perfect for you mother, what about us. What about Y/n, no doubt since a little girl she's had dreams of this big day snd we've gone and thrown one on her in 2 months time and then not even asked her what she truly wants. I'm sure we could work ourselves around what she wants, we've already taken her choice in partner away." I stand slightly shocked but with a small smile at how Loki stood up for me, he won't ever admit that but he did.
"I suppose you are right, why don't we revisit everything in the morning. Go, have today to relax." With that she gave me a sweet smile and left leaving me and Loki in the hall alone, I turn to face him.
"Loki, thank you really." He waves me off.
"Your mood was becoming intolerable especially now that we share quarters, I had to do something to help myself." I roll my eyes.
"Yeah right, of course." It goes silent as I play with the place settings put before me, it wasn't that they weren't nice it was the fact I never wanted them. I never wanted to sit down meal and talk. I just wanted something easy, personal and fun.
"4 weeks, I can't believe it is only 4 weeks. That is too short of time, I need more time. More time to understand this, wrap my head around and actually get somewhere with you." I walk down the table.
"You have got somewhere with me." I shake my head.
"Please Loki, fighting then making out is not getting somewhere with a person. We barely know everyday things about one another." I can feel him right behind me at this point but I try to ignore him.
"You want to know an everyday thing about me?" I thought for a moment before offering a shrug.
"Well it wouldn't hurt." He doesn't say anything for a moment.
"Everyday I go for a horse ride into the woods where I have a special area that I discovered just for me, tucked and hidden away. I go there to think, to breathe, to be what I am without judgement. Now I believe it is your turn." I gulp thinking about something to tell him.
