[Chancellor Street]

The Doctor and the Alchemist approach Martha and stop before her.

"Like so," the Time Lord tells her.

The Doctor slips off his tie and swings it from side to side, turning his head and watching his Bondmate in amusement.

The Alchemist undoes her piggy braids and whips her hair around like a headbanger at a metal show, putting up devil horns just for effect. She flips it back and winks.

"See?" the now wild-haired Time Lady grins.

Martha gapes and watches in confusion as they walk off.

"Weird," she mouths.

The young woman continues on her path. When Martha arrives at the Royal Hope Hospital, a man in full motorcycle gear stomps past her, shoving her to the side.

"Oi!" she calls out, "Watch it, mate."

The figure turns to stare at Martha, then walks on. When Martha is inside, at her locker, she dons her white coat and receives an electric shock as she touches the door to close it.

[Orthopedic ward]

Stoker pushes back the curtain around a hospital bed.

He nods politely, "Now then, Mister Smith, a very good morning to you. And to you Mrs. Smith. How are you both today?"

"Oh, not so bad. Still a bit, you know, blah," he says, sticking his tongue out at the end.

"I'm wonderful. Him, though? He's getting antsy and has been complaining all morning about his tum," the Time Lady adds.

She gently strokes his hair back and he smiles up at her.

Stoker turns to the students, "John Smith: admitted yesterday with severe abdominal pains. Jones, why don't you see what you can find? Amaze me."

"That wasn't very clever, running around outside, was it?" Martha whispers as she puts on her stethoscope.

"Sorry?" the Doctor asks.

She raises a brow, "On Chancellor Street this morning? You came up to me and took your tie off and your... your wife was... headbanging?"

The Time Lords glance at each other, curious.

"Really?" he asks, "What did we do that for?"

She frowns, "I don't know, you just did."

"Not me. I was here, in bed. Ask the wife. Ask the nurses even."

"Yeah, we've been here two days. I had to braid my hair and haven't undone it yet," the Alchemist says, brow raised.

"Well, that's weird," Martha replies, "'cause it looked like you. Have you got a brother or sister?"

"No, not anymore. Just me."

"I only had a brother but he's long gone," the Alchemist adds.

Stoker sighs, "...As time passes and I grow ever more infirm and weary, Miss Jones."

She winces, "Sorry. Right."

Martha listens to the Doctor's chest and her eyes go wide. She moves the stethoscope and they widen further. The Doctor in training looks at the Time Lord in shock. The Doctor winks at her and the Time Lady smirks and scratches the center of her cupid's bow, a hidden message for 'keep quiet.'

"I weep for future generations," Stoker rolls his eyes, "Are you having trouble locating the heart, Miss Jones?"

"Er, I don't know. Stomach cramps?"
