[Console Room]
"Alright, Allycat, what's with the look?" Jack asks with a smile as she gazes at him fondly.
She nods, "I have a really important question for you, brother."
"Yeah, sister? What is it?" he asks, smile unwavering.
She shrugs, "Well, you see... I already had one crazy magic brother who comes back from the dead constantly..." she laughs as Jack's face drains of color, "Yes, my twin tends to do that. No kidding. ...Anyway! I wondered if I could add another one who's more of a smelly flirt instead and hang on to him a bit longer."
Jack eyes her curiously, "What do you mean? I already call you my sister, don't I?"
The Alchemist smiles, "We had a ceremony on Gallifrey in which we can add chosen members to our families. The Doctor and I formed the Great House of Akmespiritus when we married," she says with a shrug, "Whole big thing, I'll tell you all about it one day. I'd be honored if you would become my Chosen brother in our Great House."
Jack swallows back sudden emotion at the offer, then sweeps her into a hug, spinning her around.
"Of course, I'll be your Chosen brother, Alchemist!" he shouts in her ear.
She huffs, pulling back and rubbing it, "Ears, sensitive, remember?"
He nods, "Right, cat. Forgot. What do we do?"
'I need you both present for the ceremony now,' she calls out through the bond, excitement fluttering in her chest.
"Did you agree?" Martha asks as she runs inside, followed closely by the Doctor.
Jack laughs, "Of course! Now, what do we do?"
"It's a fairly easy ceremony. Just repeat what either of us tells you to repeat and say and do," the Time Lady explains.
The Alchemist retrieves a simple, glossy cadonwood box from beneath one of the gratings. The Doctor accepts it with a respectful bow of his head.
"In this box is the ceremonial binding rope of family joining for the Great House of Akmespiritus. I, fellow House Head Lord Doctor of the Great House of Akmespiritus, offer my assistance in binding the Chosen sibling of fellow House Head Lady Alchemist and ask our friend Martha Jones to be here as a guest and to confirm the binding should it be questioned. Martha, if you agree, please introduce yourself and say, 'Accept the offer of the guest of confirmation.'"
Martha grins. "I, Martha Jones, accept the offer of the guest of confirmation."
The Doctor opens the box, revealing a neatly folded quilt and a red, gold, and forest green braid of thin, knotted silken ropes. He passes the box to Martha, who bows her head in mimicry of his gesture.
Jack beams at the Alchemist, and she gives him a gentle smile in return. She takes his right hand in her left and steps forward, their joined hands held out toward the Doctor.
The Doctor nods and lifts the braid from the box, "Lady Alchemist, fellow House Head of the Great House of Akmespiritus, do you ask Captain Jack Harkness to be your Chosen Sibling?"
The Alchemist bows her head slightly, "I, Lady Alchemist, fellow House Head to Lord Doctor of the Great House of Akmespiritus, choose Captain Jack Harkness as my Chosen Sibling and ask that he accept."
"Captain Jack Harkness, do you accept Lady Alchemist's offer of Chosen Sibling? If so, say your name followed by 'Choose to accept Lady Alchemist, House Head of the Great House of Akmespiritus' offer to become a Chosen sibling' after bowing your head."
