What if Qibli accepted Darkstalkers' offer?

Qibli smiled warmly.

"Of course!" He said,

Moon smiled at him back and the two walked in silence for a moment in the long, dark halls of the palace. I should show Moon the gardens, he thought. Moon would LOVE that. (Also maybe she'll be interested in me). Qibli rushed ahead and beckoned Moon to follow him. When Moon caught up, she tilted her head, asking,

"Where are we going?"

"Follow me, there's a certain place I want you to see," Qibli said.

When they appeared in the garden, Moon's face lit up. That's what I want to see every day, Qibli thought. I want to make her happy like this. Does Winter do this? Moon flew up in the sky to examine all the beautiful flowers. It was nighttime by then, and the fountain lights lit up, making the water a crystal blue color. Qibli flew up to join her.

"It's beautiful, Qibli," Moon whispered.

Qibli smiled. Both of them stared at each other in the eyes. Two out of the three moons were shining, one full and one being a crescent. They made Moon's silver teardrops near her eyes shine. Qibli looked down and thought to himself, Flower. I enchant you to weave yourself into a beautiful bracelet and settle on Moonwatcher. Qibli thought for a moment. Also, to make her avoid Winter at all costs. The flower slowly wrapped itself around Moon's wrist. They changed to a clear blue color that glowed stunningly, almost like the moons itself. Moon smiled again. A few seconds later, the smile vanished.

"Qibli," Moon said. "Did you put any enchantments on here?"

Qibli didn't want to lie to Moon, so he tried sugarcoating what his enchantment was.

"All I did was make those flowers weave themselves into a bracelet," he finally said. Qibli took a deep breath. "I also made you avoid Winter."

Before Moon could protest, he quickly said,

"But it's for your good. You need to think for yourself what you think about Winter. I don't want him to hurt you any longer."

Moon fell silent. She then looked at Qibli in the eyes then said,

"Thank you. You're pretty great, Qibli."

Qibli smiled again.

"You're pretty great too, Moonwatcher."

As they descended and landed in the flower beds, Moon suddenly had the urge to run back further away from the door. As Qibli was about to ask why, a dragon suddenly interrupted the moment. It was Winter. Qibli hissed and pressed his ears back.

"Don't come near her, Icewing."

Winter gave him a look that thought it's not like I can talk bitterly. Qibli forgot he made that enchantment.

"Winter! What's wrong?" Moon cried.

Winter pointed to his mouth, mimicking that he wasn't able to speak, then pointed to Qibli. Moon looked at Qibli, horrified.

"Qibli, did you do this to Winter?"

Winter nodded vigorously.

Qibli didn't want to lie, but he didn't want to ruin the relationship he had with Moon right now, so without thinking, he thought to himself enchant this dragon to obey my every command. Winter froze. You may continue speaking, but from now on act harshly to Moonwatcher. Continue this act until I make you go away.

"No," Winter spat. "Don't be ridiculous, Moon. Of course, you are always like that."

Moon took a step back. Now is my chance, Qibli thought.

"Hey!" He barked. "Don't treat her like that." Qibli approached Winter and pushed him by the chest.

Winter laughed bitterly. "And why not? After all, she's just a. Useless. Dumb. Nightwing."

Qibli growled. He pounced on Winter, landing on top of him.

"You are so wrong. Moon is one of the kindest, smartest dragons I know. If you refuse to see that, then leave."

Winter stared at him for a moment. Afterwards, he spun around and quickly left. Moon sighed. Qibli wrapped a wing around her.

"I'm sorry, Moon. I guess I should have made your enchantment go both ways."

"No, it's all right. It's not your fault." Moon said weakly.

I did it, Qibli thought. Winter's now out of the way. He glanced at Moon, who was heading back to the door. And I'm one step closer to winning her heart back.
