What if Qibli accepted Darkstalkers' offer?

MOONWATCHER

No, this cannot be happening, Moon thought. We have no shot with Rainwings, even with Winter. One drop of venom could kill all three of us. Moon closed her eyes. When nothing happened, she opened them and saw all the Rainwings squawking, braindead.

"RAINWINGS?? I SAID DESTROY THEM, THAT'S AN ORDER" Qibli roared.

A Rainwing whispered in his ear. Jambu, Moon realized. Qibli rolled his eyes.

"I don't care if you guys are pacifists, just destroy them another way!"

Nobody moved. Qibli twitched his eyes.

"Three moons, I should have conquered the Ice Kingdom first," He grumbled.

Qibli stared at the Rainwings, and then all of a sudden, Glory and Deathbringer appeared out of thin air, trapped and scowling in the same cage net.

"IF YOU GUYS DON'T ATTACK RIGHT NOW YOU WILL NEVER SEE YOUR 'QUEEN' EVER AGAIN. I WILL ROLL THE NET OVER THE CLIFF INTO THE LAKE DOWN THERE. AND TRUST ME, SHE WILL NOT SURVIVE." He said, pointing to the lake.

So the net isn't stuck in place, Moon wondered. I bet no Rainwing is going to risk pulling them away. They are all fiercely loyal to Queen Glory,

"But Sir, what about Deathbringer? He's basically our king. Glory is IN LOVE with him." A Rainwing piped up.

"Oh yeah, did you see them the other day? They were flirting with each other. I LOVE THOSE TWO TOGETHER!" Jambu chimed in.

"What is happening?" Turtle whispered to Moon and Winter.

Moon shrugged. She didn't know if the Rainwings were buying them time on purpose or by accident, but she still appreciated it. Winter stepped closer to Moon. She liked having Winter in her presence, it made her relax and think more clearly. As the entire Rainwing tribe argued and bickered about Glory and Deathbringer's relationship, (Glory was bright pink and embarrassed with Deathbringer giving her a smug face) Qibli tried getting them in order.

"I SAID ATTACK RIGHT. NOW." Qibli snapped.

All the Rainwings at once pounced at Moon, Winter, and Turtle. Winter had no trouble. He dodged a Rainwing and used another as an attack range (he threw him at another Rainwing) and used his whip-thin tail to smack a few other Rainwings with it. Moon noticed he wasn't using his frost breath to attack or defend. If we can free Glory and Deathbringer, then the Rainwings will be free as well, Moon realized. They are only doing this for their queen back. Turtle on the other talon, was struggling but still managed to properly fend off some Rainwings. A Rainwing dropped on top of Moon. Winter saw that and rammed into the Rainwing, who scampered away. Winter brought her up to her feet, and the two stood back to back, facing every Rainwing. Winter and Moon looked at each other, nodded, and went on an attacking spree.

"Mango! This isn't what we talked about! Dodge him!" Qibli barked. "NO, RAINWING'S-NAME-WHO-I-FORGOT, STOP LOOKING AT THE BUTTERLY AND ATTACK! ARE YOU SLEEPING AGAIN?" He asked another Rainwing. "THREE MOON'S, RAINWINGS! USE YOUR VENOM!"

He's going to enchant a dragon to use their venom and finish the job, Moon realized. She looked at her queen. She noticed that the net was made out of twigs. Qibli probably enchanted it to be safe from Rainwing venom and fire. But not enchanted venom. Just as Moon predicted, a Rainwing suddenly froze and was screaming at the top of her lungs. Both Turtle and Winter stopped what they were doing and looked up. Now's my chance, Moon thought. She quickly rushed to the net, where Glory and Deathbringer were trying to escape.

"Moonwatcher! Get out of here! It's too dangerous," her queen ordered.

Moon shook her head. "I'm going to free you guys. Deathbringer, make sure you two are safe as I roll you toward the magic venom. Got it?"

"Wait, what?" Deathbringer questioned.

Moon knew that Qibli could read minds, but luckily he seemed to be more caught up in the fight than the queen and her bodyguard. Moon had to time it exactly, otherwise it wouldn't work. She squinted. Any second, she saw the Rainwing spring open her jaw, where two white, pointy, sharp fangs bared. Venom shot out of them. Not ordinary venom, but enchanted venom that Moon guessed would probably do far more damage than regular venom. NOW, she rolled the net and it rolled downhill, where Winter and Turtle were. They were going to move out of the way but they saw the rolling net, and both of them didn't want to hurt the Rainwing queen.

"WHAT THE-" Qibli roared.

No! The net is rolling too slowly! It won't make it, Moon panicked. 

"GLORY! DEATHBRINGER! THE NET IS GOING TOO SLOW!"

Deathbringer lashed his tail and the net spun forwards even faster. As time seemed to slow down, the venom hit the net. Qibli's eyes widened and he roared. The entire thing started to hiss and become loose. Glory and Deathbringer were free. Stumbling, they managed to get on their feet before the net hit the lake below them, dissolving. I guess the lake is acidic now, Moon thought. Qibli, how could you? Qibli growled.

"Smart move over there, Moon. I always knew you were a tough cookie."

All of the Rainwings started to make sure the queen and her bodyguard were OK. Glory issued some orders, before lifting into the sky, along with all the Rainwings, and returned to the Rainforest.
