WINTER

It had been six days since they came to the border to spy on Qibli. They had to witness Qibli summon random Icewings and test spells on them, including Queen Snowfall. Unfortunately, Qibli caught them with his artificial mind-reading. They were in trouble. Qibli had been stalling at the Ice/Sand Kingdom border, trying to think of the perfect spell to let him survive the cold. Kinkajou, what is taking so long? Winter thought, worried. Qibli had decided to control the weather, making it impossible to stay put. The wind howled and the rain was falling on them. Actually, it was more sideways than down, he noticed. Lightning flashed, emitting Qibli's face. He snarled.

"I told you to stay out of my way," Qibli said. "Prepare to suffer the consequences."

Turtle tried burying himself under a rock. Not now, slimehead, Winter thought. They needed every reinforcement they could get.

"Qibli, please. Can't you see this is considered evil? Just-" Moon's speech got cut off as an invisible force pushed her back.

Winter felt anger rising. How dare he. Winter growled. He pounced on Qibli. Qibli being a former Outclaw, expertly dodged Winter's attack and slashed at his face, which Winter rolled out of the way just in time.

"WINTER!" Moon cried, before joining him.

Both Moon and Winter tried tackling Qibli, but his mind-reading prevented them from doing any serious damage. Winter looked at Moon. She nodded her head. They had been practicing a move (using Turtle as a dummy) that 100% worked. I hope this works. Turtle was just too cowardly to do anything. Winter thought. He nodded. As Moon flew up to the sky, preparing to tackle him from above, Winter crept behind Qibli, about to pin him down. Winter made it seem like he was going to attack him by whipping his tail back and forth. Qibli kept his eye on Moon, (a part of the reason why Moon was up there and not Winter. They were kind of hoping Qibli would be star-struck by Moon's appearance.) As Moon descended at a rapid speed, Winter leaped, about to pin him down. To his surprise, Qibli rolled out of the way with a straight face. Winter skidded. How did he know? His thoughts were quickly interrupted by Moon crashing on top of him.

"OW," They both cried.

Winter looked at Turtle, who gave up on the rock hiding spot and moved to a pine tree. "Uh, Turtle? We could SERIOUSLY USE SOME HELP RIGHT NOW,"

Turtle scrambled to his feet and rushed to help them up.

"NOT US SLIME BRAIN ATTACK QIBLI!"

"Oh, right," Turtle said.

He faced Qibli, putting on his most dashing, heroic face. From Winter's perspective, Turtle just simply tried clawing Qibli's face, which he stepped back, causing Turtle to lose balance and fall on his face. Winter face palmed. Moon had untangled from him, scanning Qibli. She furrowed her brow which caused Winter to worry. She then relaxed. Turning to Winter, she said, "I know! Most of Qibli's powers come from his jewelry alone. If we can manage to take those items-"

"Then we have a chance to take him down," Winter finished for her. They smiled at each other.

Qibli yawned. "This is so touching, but you have no shot. I have ANIMUS MAGIC. I can do ANYTHING. My other abilities may be in my jewelry, but my animus magic is permanently here with me." He smirked. "According to most of the future timelines, you guys are pathetic. You can't stop me."

So that's how he figured out our attack strategy, Winter realized. He gave himself the ability to see all futures, just like Darkstalker.

Qibli nodded. "That's right, now-"

Moon tried pouncing on Qibli again, this time trying to remove all his jewelry. Qibli roared at this sudden attack, blinded by Moon's talons. Moon was about to reach for the earring when Qibli's tail shot up, about to stab her.

"MOON! WATCH OUT!" Winter roared.

Moon noticed the tail and quickly leaped out of the way. Qibli blinked, then snarled. A hissing sound came from his throat. If Winter remembered his Jade Mountain lessons on Sandwings correctly, that meant that Qibli was about to breathe fire. Without hesitating, Winter leaped on Qibli, trying to snatch his earring. Turtle also joined in, trying to keep Qibli in place. As Moon tended her wounds, Qibli blasted fire. Winter, afraid of Qibli hitting her, had to grab both of Qibli's horns and steer them a full 360º. Even with the strength of two dragons compared to one, they were no match compared to Qibli's animus magic. Two pine trees suddenly rammed in Winter and Turtle, causing them to knock off of Qibli and onto the ground. Qibli growled.

"As I was saying," He said ominously. "You guys have been in my way for far too long. I'm afraid you guys have to go. After all, you are no match for me."

"Yeah, but can you stand up to KINKAJOU THE PINEAPPLE THROWER?"

A pineapple was thrown at Qibli which hit his snout. He yelped in pain. Winter looked up, and saw Kinkajou in the air, shaking her wrist, as throwing a pineapple with such brute force must have been painful for the tiny dragonet.

"Kinkajou!" Moon cried.

"Hey guys," Kinkajou said, smiling. "Miss me?"
