Qibli should have been more specific with that spell. For he ended up in the middle of the ocean. In the distance, he could see a large, underwater palace-looking thing. The Deep Palace, he realized. Beside him, a few Seawings eyed him suspiciously. What is a Sandwing doing here? One Seawing thought. How did he get near the Deep Palace? Are we under attack? Thought the second. Wow, his crown is so pretty. Where did he get it from? Thought the third. Qibli jumped. Well, tried to. He just drifted further into the water. Mind reading is exhausting, he thought, rubbing his forehead. Before any Seawing could do something, Qibli unexpectedly teleported somewhere else. When he opened his eyes, he found himself in the middle of the Arctic. He looked up and saw a huge wall. That's the Great Ice Cliff? He thought. Several icy spears shot down on him. He yelped and tried to dodge the spears and roared as loud as he could, over the loud hailstorm that was occuring. "TELEPORT ME BACK TO DARKSTALKER RIGHT NOW."
Qibli blinked, and when he opened his eyes, he found himself in the ballroom. In there, Darkstalker was planning.
"No no, the tables go over there. The sculptures should have the illusion of floating, not hanging from a string! Three moons, Nightdancer, are you eating again?"
Qibli approached Darkstalker. Darkstalker turned around and his face creased with worry.
"Qibli! What did you do?" He asked. "Moon chose Winter over you! Didn't I predict for you that she would choose you?"
Qibli growled. "I made some... bad decisions. Look, my plans have changed. I don't care if Moon and Winter get together. I'm ready to rule Pyrrhia with you now."
Darkstalker wrinkled his snout. "That was quite fast," he said. He then tapped Qibli's forehead. "I've seen that you enchanted yourself with the ability to predict the future like me, right?"
Qibli nodded.
"Then use it. Think. Moon must have chosen you in some timeline. We could always rule Pyrrhia together, but winning Moon by heart? That's a different story." Darkstalker finished. Qibli beamed. Why didn't I think of that? He thought.
"That's 'cause I'm smart. You're getting there, though." Darkstalker claimed. He, too, had given himself the ability to read minds without skyfire. Qibli just rolled his eyes. He closed his eyes and concentrated. Timeline 27. Winter and Moon are official. Skip. He skipped all the timelines he saw where Winter and Moon became official. Why are there so many timelines with them being together? He thought angrily. Qibli scanned and finally saw a timeline with Moon choosing him over Winter. Timeline 1049, Moon rules Pyrrhia alongside me and Darkstalker? Qibli thought. He looked into that timeline and realized that he enchanted Moon to love him. Not what he wanted. That could always be my backup plan, though. Darkstalker interrupted his thoughts.
"Hmm," he wondered. "Your brain is very similar to mine. We should discuss how to rule Pyrrhia somewhere more private than a ballroom. I'm having a party tonight to celebrate the territory conquest success of the Skywings and let me tell you. I am NOT looking forward to it. Queen Ruby is SO ANNOYING."
Qibli laughed. "All right, I'm ready when you are." He said. Darkstalker cleared his throat, and all the Nightwings looked at him.
"Attention here, please," Darkstalker's voice boomed across the hall with everyone immediately looking at him. "King Qibli and I have some urgent matters to discuss. Uh, you," He pointed to a random Nightwing servant who was just cleaning a window. "You are in charge of everyone here. Make sure the party tonight is spectacular. Goodbye!" The Nightwing servant just blinked. Darkstalker then teleported him and Qibli to his private chambers.
"Look, I have already negotiated with Queen Ruby. Without enchantments! Isn't that impressive?" Darkstalker bragged.
Qibli studied the map that laid on the vast wall. He noticed a big X used with fresh ink was crossed through the Sky Kingdom and a circle that traced through the Mud Kingdom.
"The Mudwings are next?" Qibli asked.
Darkstalker nodded. "Mudwings should be easy. They're all big, lazy, cow-eaters. No match for us Nightwings."
Darkstalker whipped his head back, pointing a claw at Qibli's crown, and asked him, "Do you think you can take over the Ice Kingdom and the Rainforest Kingdom? Those are your closest territory spots. The Seawings will be a bit harder since none of the other dragon tribes can breathe underwater."
Qibli nodded again. "Leave it to me."
